My mother was telling me about the teenagers that go to high school with my 16yo DSis. Apparently they have been shoplifting for a while from Abercrombie, Abercrombie kids, Hollister and some other stores at their local mall. Well they finally got busted with $2900 in stuff. They have now been banned from the mall for life. How do they enforce something like that?

Seems like it will be difficult, considering most of the mall staff will probably turn over within a year or two and no one will remember these kids.

If they are caught shoplifting in that mall again, they will face additional charges associated with trespassing.

I hope they can enforece it. These are nasty, mean girls. This was their Karma!!!!

I know here locally they had a person banned for life at a store in the mall. They tries to be slick and go back and Security was right on them they checked a photo that is in the main security room and a computer flaged them from a purchase by his mother.

In the mall your right it may be hard to do but now if they get caught doing anything they can be charged with lawful criminal trespass as well.

I know DW MeanLaureen has said her mall has had people banned from there. I believe they will keep records in the event the management staff of the mall or the stores change, and if those banned even set foot on the mall property, they will be arrested for criminal trespass.
