Banned for 10 years

i got band from vmk for a day with out a reason to!! but it was a day but i had to wait four days!! i can an not get in now it says page can not be displayed

it has only been like 5 days for me...i created a new character, but i cant access it all the time since i made it on another computer...but yea i am going a bit crazy without it!

It really might have not been anything malicious that you have done. Both of my daughters were banned for one month - they didn't do anything out of the ordinary and we still have no clue why they were banned. But before the month was up, they checked to see if they were still banned and they were able to get on. Like I said, they didn't do anything wrong and they were still banned

well, i actually gave out my im name and it said that b/c i failed to listen to other warnings, i never got any other warnings!

Well if you gave out your IM name, they had the right to ban you without warning.

I saw a couple people start talking about how they had myspace accounts. I immediately said to never state that again, they could get banned for it. They apologized and stopped talking about it. I don't know if they got any warnings for it.

One girl asked me one time what "Dis" meant because it said "Dis" in my sig. Without thinking, I said it was a fan site or something like that and she said ok thanks and we moved on. No warnings popped up for me, but I realized that it could have been possible for it to be construed as giving out personal info. So I just erased Dis from my sig. I'm not taking risks anymore.

But I do agree that VMK is VERY inconsistent with their bannings. I was in one room where a staff member was also there. This one player started dictionary dancing by harrassing players, telling the STAFF member to "shut up" and even talking about myspace. The staff member simply said "You should really think long and hard about what you're saying, do you want to get banned?" He went on to say "you should click on me so you know who you're talking to." But this player kept up the antics and other players were complaining and complaining A LOT. WHat did staff do? Absolutely nothing. Instead all he said was "it's been fun, time for me to move onto another room" and he left. The harrassing player was still there and kept on harrassing members. It was VERY frustrating to see. Not right that the player could get away with it right in front of staff, but then we have players here who've done absolutely nothing and they're getting permanent bans.

omg, thats horrible, staff didnt even witness me doing it, one person reported me and 5 seconds later i was banned!

no, but I made another character on another computer at home (I am at school) and when i am home i can go on

No offense, but you DID give out personal info. Regardless if staff was there to witness it or not, they can always check logs and if they see what you did was against their rules, they can ban you...no questions asked.

And I know I'm not a mod here or anything, but being that this person violated the rules by giving out personal info and admitted to violating the rules...perhaps it's not in the best interest to advise people to work around bans. While VMK bans willy nilly, they do have some bans set in place for good reasons.

well i do admit that what i did was wrong, and i have learned from my mistakes, each day since my ban i have sent one or two messages to vmk apologizing and hoping they will lower my sentence time

VMK Banning is very cruel. It isn't very fair.

i personally think its jsut wrong i mean my friend got a warning once on my computer so i did not let him play on it because it would ban my ip
