OK so when thinking about my new add-on and banking the points I got a question. Let me try to explain my thoughts (scary if I can do it ;) ) and what I am wondering.

OK so, say you have two contracts one 150 points and a 50 point add-on. Let say you are into the time of your use year where you can bank 50% of your points only. Is this 50% of the total points or 50% of each contract?

to further (attempt to) clarify this: could a person bank 100 points of thier 150 point contract (50% of total points) or can you only do 75 points (50% of the contract)?

Hope my question is clear, if you understand the description of my thinking, you must be as weird as me ;)

of course all this is moot for me as I won't be having points to bank for a while. it was just radom wondering and it is not important enough to me to call MS and check on it, just to ask here and see if anyone knows.

For banking purposes, the points are all lumped together providing it's the same use year.

It actually can work out very well, especially if you have two different resorts.

For instance, we have 310 OKW points, 150 at VWL. The total points are 460.

We had used all of our OKW points, but we still had hadn't figured out how we were using our VWL points. Since those 150 points are less than half of our 460 total, we didn't have to decide as far in advance to bank them.

Does this make sense???:p :p Does it help??

Yes it does.

Thanks for the prompt response. I will try to remember that when I have points left that I can bank ;) :)

Mike,

I can confirm the part about banking for the total points held. I just finished asking this very question to MS for two (2) 150 point contracts at BCV. The banking numbers are based upon total points held. I had used 150 points and wanted to know how banking was treated.

I was told that it was based upon 300 points and that I could now go to the 50% time deadline even though I had exhausted one contract.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks for asking this question. I had wondered about this too.:D
