Banking Points ?

For our use year 2004 we banked 15 points into 2005. With the 2005 points (165 - 150 use year + 15 banked from 2004) we will only be using 90 points and banking the rest for 2006.

I guess my question would be - is this ok?

Are banked points used up first - then the use year points?

MS should use banked points first when fulfilling your request, but it never hurts to remind them!

You can do it and I would go so far as to say that you should tell them to use the banked points first when you make the reservation. As Credit Man says, they should do that but make sure of it.

IF the points were already banked when you made the 2005 reservation, they should use the banked points first and will 99% of the time. You should always remind them as you don't want to get caught with your pants down. If you made the 90 pt reservation first THEN banked the points, they will not use them at all. There may be ways for you to take care of them and substitute for bankable points but the onus is on you to get it done.

Always confirm your point balances by use year at the end of every transaction with member services. Some cm's will automatically give it to you, sometimes you have to ask. That's the easiest way to catch any mistakes.
