Banking points and waitlist?

I'm on the waitlist for a 1BR at the BWV for New Year's Eve (I'm the ever optimist). Anyhow, I plan on calling at the 7 month window to check availability for the BCV (again, ever the optimist). If nothing is available at BCV, I plan on banking my remaining points and paying cash for a room at BWI. If the waitlist comes through at BWV for NYE, will I be able to tap in to my banked points?

As a secondary question, am I doing my math right? Will the 7 month booking window for NYE open on May 31?

No, you cannot use the points you bank for the NYE reservation if the waitlist works. Once points are banked, they cannot be returned to their original use year. Howver, you could borrow some of next year's points for that ressie.

Actually you can't call for that until June 1. It's 7 months from check out and a 12/31/2006 stay would check out on 1/1/2007, so the 7 month window opens on June 1, 2006.
