Banked Points - what can I do with them?

We have 25 points which were purchased last September (to add to our existing allocation) and were therefore for our use year to April 2005. I banked them before April and so they are now in our account and available to use up to April (or is 31st March?) 2006.

We can't use them - we go to Disney June 2006 so they will have expired by then. And being in the UK they don't buy us anything here.

What can I do with them? Can I rent them out or are banked points not 'rentable'? And if I can rent them out how do I do that? In the past we have always used all our points so have never been in this position

You can't transfer banked points to another member, but you can certainly make a reservation with them and rent that. For example, you can get 3 weeknights in a studio for 24 points in certain seasons at OKW or BWV (standard view).

Best wishes -

P.S. Not exactly sure what your use year is - but if you have an April use year, the points expire at the end of the following March (assuing they are not used or banked before then).

You could use them at Disneyland Paris, but unfortunately 25 points won't get you much there.

Thanks for the info. So if I made a reservation for 3 nights in a studio at OKW how do I rent that out please? Do I tell Disney or what - and are we liable if the people renting it spoil it in any way?

Go to the rent/trade board and read Doc's FAQ thread. It should provide you with the info you need to do a rental. You make the reservation for someone else, so you would need to call MS at Disney to make the reservation. Recent word is that you wouldn't be held responsible. Lots of people rent without any problems.
