banked points question

So if you are planning a vacation for december 07 and your points are banked and have to be used by November 1st 2007 can you use these points to book the vacation (as long as it's booked before November?) I know if you have to cancel the points will be gone but could you make a reservation with them for after the date? Thanks.

No, points have a specific 12 month Use Year, and can only be used for vacation dates within that specific time period.

BTW, there are no use years that would have an expiration of Nov 1st.

A September UY's points expire on Aug 31st.
An October UY's points expire on Sep 30th.
A December UY's points expire Nov 30th.

There is no such thing as a November UY.

Assuming you have a December UY, and meant to say points expire Nov 30th, unfortunately, the answer to your question is still No.

Yes you are correct my UY is December. I can't even keep track of when my UY ends. LOL Thanks for your help. I'm waitlisted for HH for the summer and don't want to loose these points. Thanks again, Gina
