Banked points and ROFR

If Disney takes a contract through ROFR and it has banked points, what happens to those points? Say a DEC UY contract is taken this month with the 2016 points banked into 2017. Would they turn around and sell the contract with the banked points to someone on the waitlist, or do they just go away? I’m assuming if you buy direct from a waitlist you just get normal points but that’s just an assumption.

They could use them for one time use points, or maybe "rent" them for cash availability.
