Hi all! I'm heading back to the world in August and again in September. For the September trip it is just me and my elderly parents. They have not been to WDW since 2000. I have been a few times;) since then but have not stayed at POR in a while...and not since they revamped the foodcourt. Well, my DDad is asking about his beloved Banana Split that he used to get every evening and I see on the menu (from Allears) that a banana split is not listed anymore. Does anyone know if you can still get one there and does anyone know if the icecream they do have is still the Carnation brand they used to have? Thanks & keeping my fingers crossed for him...apparently as we age it's the little things that make us happy!;)

They did have lots of heavenly baked goods and desserts in the bakery area, but I don't recall seeing a banana split when I was there earlier this month.

You cannot use the term "Banana Split" in your title when it 90s here! That's just wrong. :( :lmao:

I don't know if POR has the banana split, but just in case it doesn't, maybe you can make an ADR at The Plaza for one of your MK days and start a new banana split tradition there.

Here's a picture of one of the menu boards that I took at POR last month. I don't see a banana split listed :(

But they do make sundaes and they did have fresh bananas for sale, so I say, Make it yourself, and it'll probably taste great :)

If you're interested, here's a link to the rest of my POR pics:

I'm sure he will find something that will work. I was thinking he could just add the bananas himself also and since they make sundaes they must have some toppings. He just remembers them so fondly!;)

Seaspray - I actually bookmarked your site back when you first posted it. Great pictures. We have stayed at POR several times...just not in a while and I loved seeing the pictures...looks like home!:cloud9:

Septbaby - Sorry!;) :lmao: It was 90's here yesterday too! Where is "here" for you? Are you really a September baby? I am - September 7th!

Thanks guys!
