Which airlines fly into Orlando from Baltimore or Washington?

We are going over Thanksgiving (ack) and the prices on Southwest are killing me. Is there any hope of getting a flight for around $300/pp?

Out of Dulles, JetBlue and United/Continental have non-stops.

Out of National, JetBlue, AirTran, US Air, and Delta have non-stops.

Try Kayak.com to search multiple airlines (can't do Southwest), Dates and locations - but book directly through the airline once you fine a price you like (you'll have better control over the reservations)

We have flown Airtran exclusively for the past 5 years because they have always been the lowest for us out of BWI.

Oh Boy, TGiving. Well there's your problem ; )

I look for nonstops so I'm always on the higher end of the fares. That said, our flights to MCO are $178 out of National on US Air (but we're flying in August).

JB Direct out of DCA must be new. When I booked our October flights, there were no directs on JB out of DCA, so we are leaving from IAD. This actually worked out well as I was able to snag free parking for the week at an area hotel thanks to Living Social credits. :cool1:

Don't think its new, but there's only one non-stop a day (leaving DCA at 1:15 PM daily and returning from MCO at 6:50 PM daily). I've been planning my October trip since March (and an August trip to Universal), and that flight has been there all along.

Which is just a long way of saying that people don't have to worry about that route being canceled anymore than any other established route.

It's funny that this thread was at the top because I came here for the same reason. We always go in August, and this year are going for Thanksgiving. We've never flown anything but Southwest, as with their deals, and their baggage included, we've never found anything cheaper. We are considering taking the Autotrain for the first time, and now that's up to over $1,400 for my family of 5 and our van for that week. Cheapest I can get flights is $1,877 with Southwest. The killer is...that would be $473.50 to get there, and $1,403.50 to get back! Then we'd have to rent a car.

We really, really don't want to drive, so I'm going to really start looking for the cheapest alternative!

Jet Blue includes a free bag per person. And snacks. And TV. And assigned seats. And you can get credit if the price goes down.

Have you looked into a non-auto train? I just looked into Amtrak for a coworker who is cruising over Easter & airfares are high. They were reasonable when USAirways 1st released, but she hesitated and is hoping SWA will beat prices of USAirways which were $101 + 180 back then. (I have found SWA is ridiculous lately and gave up on waiting for them several months ago. My family is sailing the cruise after hers and I jumped on it. I think it's reasonable for holiday travel. $1212 for my family of 4 RT.)
Amtrak out of 30th St. Station in Philly starts at only $675 RT for a family of 4 with AAA. $75 more if not a AAA member. There were other discounts too incl senior rates but none that she would qualify for. I thought this was very reasonable since she was considering driving.

Check out their website and see if there's one that makes a stop near you.
