Yo yo yo, peeps!
Sorry I haven't posted, I've been outside enjoying this beautiful heat & humidity here in the northeast! (insert middle-finger smilie here)!

Have I mentioned lately that I hate the heat?

8 miles??? In this weather?? In the sun?? Holy crap. Very impressive.
Lou - How's your wife's new job? How's business for you? Sounds like you've been keeping busy. Thinking of running in AC this Oct.?
Mike - Shouldn't you be in Disney about now?

Impressed @ your running consistency - lot's 'o FB info on that. There's an article in my new "Marathon & Beyond" about your Bull Run Ultra!! Haven't read it yet, but will pass on the issue when I'm done with it. See paw info below.
Jen - I'd listen to you if you were my doc. You make sense. How's the tooth? Hope you're having a blast on your vacation.
BQCindy - Glad you had a safe trip to VA...sounds as if you had a good visit. Did you sign up for the Boston 1/2? Slow 5k?? Let's not talk slow right now

.

No WAY!!! You "trained"? You ROCK. Does this mean you're actually going to do MCM? How's the weather down where you are?
Hey all you other non-posting lurkers...
Here's the deal with the paw-it's getting better...slowly. I've been dabbling on some short run/walks for the past week & yesterday was actually able to "run" 4 miles without much discomfort. I say "run" because it was an incredibly feeble looking event (it's amazing how much fitness you can lose in 4 weeks). All of this is being done in sneakers. I have no doubt that the frog-shoes are the reason why I injured my foot - that being said, I still plan to stick it out wear them again as soon as I can. I walk in them regularly, but don't want to run in them yet b/c the foot just ain't ready. And because I'm neurotic & had to cancel 2 (count 'em TWO) events in the span of 4 weeks, I've gone & decided to sign up for a sprint tri! .5 mile swim, 12 bike, 3.5 run. I think it's on 8/3, so I better get training. My biking sucks SO hard, it's terrible. Swimming is OK, I think. This a.m. I walked the dog a mile, got on the bike & did a quick 2.5 miles, then got off & ran a mile. It was quite pathetic, I'll tell you.

. You all shoulda seen me trying to run bow-legged down the street...hobbling, really. Wonder what it'll feel like after TWELVE miles of biking?
Wow, a little long-winded today. Sorry.
