Baltimore BOT-Fest

MCM seems to be a go...however, not sure I can stay afterward & "party" like Disney...so is it really worth it? ;)

Been looking @ this stooopid Disney night time 1/2 in Oct. Hoping I don't get sucked in to it, but thinking that perhaps I can convince Bruce to go down with me & do the relay??? It's on a Sat. night, so we could come down Fri a.m., run Sat., party with BOTS until 3 a.m. (that's how long the party goes for @ EPCOT) after the race :yay:, then beat it out of there Sunday late morning...Hmmm......popcorn:: Anyone???

I may be easily convinced to do MCM again and I'm definitely going to be doing the Wine and Dine.

Matt and I live less than 2 miles from the MCM finish line. Make sure your MCM travel arrangements at least allow for a quick stop for a celebratory drink at our condo. That means you, Jodi!!

Matt and I are discussing Wine&Dine. I think it is somewhat likely that we will be there.

Can I make it from your condo to BWI in like, 40 mins. like last time? :rolleyes1popcorn::

So how do you all think they'll do this 1/2 @ Disney? At 3 a.m. - What food will be available? Rides? Umm....beer?? :cutie:

We are in for Food and Wine and post race partying. Not sure about MCM-- Halloween is still a big deal to DD so we may not be able to make that one.

I can only guess that Disney might handle this like the tower of terror 13K. For that, the race started at 10 pm in the DHS parking lot and the race ended in the backlot behind the tower of terror. The park was open until 2 am and rockin roller coaster, tower of terror and toy story were open. They had beer carts around the park, but I'm not sure if you could buy food or not.

It was fun, but the after party wasn't great IMO. After running the race, getting your checked bag and changing out of super sweaty running clothes, there wasn't much time to go on rides. Also the lines were already really long. With a half marathon to run, instead of just a 13K it will take even longer to run the race.

My main problem, though, is that it is hard for me to stay up that late! I'd almost rather wake up at 2:30 am for the marathon than run a race at 10 pm and stay up until 2-3 am.

Chester I see Tobacco Road in your signature. Have you already signed up for that race? If you, Mike, Kathy, Cindy and I all end up doing Tobacco road, it would be like a mini bot meet.

Colleen How far is Cary NC from where you live?

That's exactly my problem, too! early riser - early to bed. And there's that whole sweat factor!! I dunno. Someone convince me. :teacher:

Hey wait...what about the Vermont Marathon over Memorial Day Weekend?? And how come no one wants to come up to ME :sad1: & run the Hartford Marathon??

Hartford? Really? You don't even really live near Hartford.

Hey man, you don't know (insert what you said in front of my son @ Biergarten)!! ;):rotfl2:
Colleen - You swore in front of a poor defenseless child?:scared1: Shame, shame. Colleen is your name.

Officially registered for Tobacco Road full.

Kathy and I actually booked a bounce back rate room at Boardwalk for the Wine and Dine, you know, just in case.;)

Bill - Could you get Lynnda and the boys to DC again this yearpopcorn::? It was great seeing you again:goodvibes

(Sneaking out of lurkdom) Since Bill didn't answer yet, I will... ;) We could very easily be convinced to go back to DC!!! And Bill just so happened to pick up a guaranteed entry while we were at the expo... just sayin'! :rolleyes1 We're still working out travel plans for the year, but I would LOVE to go back to DC in the fall! :thumbsup2
