Baltimore BOT-Fest

Chester, so sorry to hear about the notice. Lots of :wizard::wizard::wizard:for something new coming your way.

Hi Bots! :goodvibes Just checking in on my all-too infrequent visits.

Chester, I'm so sorry. Been there. I hope things get better soon.

MCM, huh? Hmmmm.....

And for (hopefully) the last bit of business you'll hear from me. I've started a thread about teams, whether they should continue, and if so how? I'd love to get your input!

Chester - if you don't mind an appearance by a non-BOT (or perhaps honorary BOT?), please accept my best thoughts to you and Tracy right now. I am sorry and you have my support as you work through this.

Judy~ You can never say I didn't offer. :rolleyes1 Oh yes, can I pay it off using the Lay Away plan?

Chester~ Hang in there my friend. I feel really bad about this, you saw it coming for a while but were hanging on for some time. I hope you can use your connections in the business to find something else very, very soon. I have been in your shoes (to some extent) and I know it is a humbling, soul searching, full-time job to find a full-time job. Best of luck! Let us know if we can help in any way.

Matt~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :bday: :cake:

My follow up appointment with the doc is on Thursday at 8:45 AM. I'll post more about my future when I know it.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

:grouphug:

Chester - So sorry to hear about your job. I hope something better is just around the corner.

Bill

Good Morning Bots.

Chester: Sorry to hear about the job situation. It seems most of us have been in a similar spot. I hope it works out for the best for you. I was happy to meet you at POP.

Howard: Hope all goes well with the Dr. appt. It was great to see you so many times this weekend.

Dave: Great job with GKTW. I'm glad you had a good week. Sorry I never met up with you.

Cindy: Sorry to hear about your knee. Hope you figure it out soon. I wish I had been able to talk to you a bit.

Jodi: So which local races are you planning on doing? Maybe I can fit one of them in to my schedule too. That way I may even get to chat with you. Sorry I couldn't stay longer at the Biergarten.

Matt: I enjoyed running with you on Saturday. My legs were just too spent to catch up on Sunday, it never even entered my mind when I saw you.

Mike: I also enjoyed running with you on Saturday. Great job on Sunday. Thanks for wearing that bathrobe that was so easy to spot. I see on FB that you've been running. Hope it went well.

Colleen: Glad I was able to meet you. Sorry I didn't get much of a chance to talk.

Sara: Sorry I didn't officially meet you last weekend. Thank you so much for cheering at MK and the other place I saw you (DHS?). I forget where it was, but it was such a huge lift to see your big smile. I hope all goes well with your upcoming medical procedures.

Jen: I enjoyed meeting you this weekend. I'm glad we were able to chat a bit at Biergarten. It was nice to meet Butch too.

I had such a fun time at marathon weekend. I loved the cold weather for running, but I couldn't hang around after either of the races to socialize, I was just too cold. I was pleasantly pleased that I was able to run relatively comfortably on such little training. I am hoping to get a run in tomorrow - the first since the races. I will put together a training plan for Boston this week - just 90 days away.

Thanks to all of the Bots for helping to make such a great weekend.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Cindy

Thanks for all your thoughts and concerns. Things could definitely be worse. I still will have 24 hr access to my office and the office equipment. Also, I will still get to use the company truck.

Right now I have some freelance work that will hold me over for a while. Thankfully, Tracy's job is pretty secure so we will be o.k.

God bless you all,

Chester

Chester - I'm really sorrry to hear your bad news. It sounds like you have a good attitude about it though. I'm sure things will work out. Look on the bright side... More time for running?:confused3

Chester: Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and sending lots of  for things to work out. It looks like Butch will be down for Gasparilla, so if you can't get Mardi Gras to work out and will be in the area he'd love to get together for lunch or dinner or something. He will be staying with his dad in Bradenton so I think that is pretty close to you.

Cindy: I hope your knee is feeling better-- take it easy on the mileage this week and use plenty of ice.

Howard: good luck with your doc appt

Dave: I love the FB pix from your trip and the one of Butch at the end of the full in your blog.

Cindylou: nice to meet you too

I had a blast at Beirgarten, thanks for including us. We are definitely popcorn:: in for next year, so add us to the ressie. Slowly getting back to normal here. I've had 2 really rough 5 mile runs-- my shins are just not happy but improving. I caught a minor head cold over the weekend in FL so I'm trying to recover from that too. Our house is prepping for our kitten-- she comes home a week from Friday so that should be fun.

Chester - I'm sorry to hear your bad news. I hope that you are able to find something else quickly.

Chester - Sorry to hear about the job. I know you have been concerned for a while. It's good you'll have access to the office and equipment as you can make some money on the side. Have you considered looking for jobs with the government? Anymore, the government is the only one hiring. I see my friends still working at the City of Philadelphia and I wonder if I should have ever left. These guys work 7-3, have full pensions, and all work side jobs. They think we live the high life on the private side but it's the other way around. Stay positive and consider all options and use this as a time to refocus.

Dave: I love the FB pix from your trip and the one of Butch at the end of the full in your blog.
Jen- did you see I added another picture today of Butch during the full? Todd was able to get a picture of him in Animal Kingdom.

As far as Biergarten next year goes... I bought an annual pass when I was in Florida last week. I'm just sayin'...

Cindy - Great meeting you at the Biergarten. Good luck with the Boston training. I forgot you BQ'd last year. Spring marathons seem so tough to train for when you live in places with cold and snow. Hopefully you'll be able to get the LR's in. What's your goal for Boston?

Lou

Chester... Join the club. Stinks, I know.

Lou - How is it I have never met you? :confused3 I thought I was in all the right places this year... :lmao: Well, maybe one of these days. I guess meeting Jodu this year was treat enough! :yay:

Judy - Not sure. If you passed by a guy in WDW that looked like a demented version of Derek Jeter that was me. :lmao: Guarantee you'll see me at at least 4 Philly races this year (Broad St, Penn Relays, PDR, Marathon). Come on out to Philly and join me!

Lou - I know it's Halloween and you bailed for NYC as well but how does DC sit with you (and Nicole) for this year:)

Sara - I am positive that I will not be screwing up Halloween this year. 2008 was the Phillies parade and 2009 was NYC. My kids deserve a break this year. I think I'll have to pass on MCM. I'll run Philly and maybe another local marathon (A.C., Baltimore, ???).

Chester - Very sorry to hear about your job loss:sad1:. As Howard said, even though you knew it was potentially on the horizon, it doesn't make it any easier. I wish you the best of luck and I have faith everything happens for a reason and only good things will come from this for you:thumbsup2 You'll be in my prayers for sure.

Matt - Happy Birthday:cake: Hoping it was a grand celebration:banana:

CindyLou - I am so sorry that I didn't speak to you at Biergarten but I didn't know it was you until after the fact:confused3. Hoping you'll come run MCM so we can chat for real :goodvibes Also, I may be working the Boston Expo for Team 413 so if I do, please stop by the booth!

Dave - Glad you hooked yourself up with an AP:yay: I'm loving the GKTW pics and think it's simply wonderful you were able to get the kids down there. My son is starting at SUNY Oswego this week so I'm going to have to be venturing out to the mid part of the state:)

Howard
- Loads of :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes for your doc appt this week.

Debra - We'd love to see you and DOOD at MCM:cool1:

Craig - Definitely an honorary BOT:thumbsup2

Lou - Completely understand about Halloween:laughing:. My DD8 is obsessed with it:rolleyes1

XT yesterday in the form of painting my master bathroom for 7 hours. Going to try out my new snowshoes today:hippie: Have a great week:grouphug:

You know, Lou..it's not like me to bypass a good looking guy... ;)

Dave-Glad to hear you got a run in!!! And I'm so proud of you, going down & volunteering all your time @ GKTW. Very admirable. I've gotta get Spencer down there for some of that.

Yea, I hear they don't use cuss words at these events. :lmao:
