IS THERE ANYWAY THAT YOU CAN HAVE A BUNCH OF BALLOONS IN YOUR HOTEL ROOM UPON ARRIVAL? I WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING AS A SURPRISE TO WELCOME MY FAMILY....A HAPPY WAY TO START OUT THE TRIP. COULD YOU REQUEST THIS AND PAY FOR IT AND HAVE THEM DELIVERED????? OR ANY OTHER IDEAS?
THANKS,
JULIE

Until you are checked in your room could be assigned to someone else. I would arrange for the balloons to be delivered after they have arrived. The Disney florist or Gifts of a Lifetime can do this for you.

BTW, typing in all caps is considered shouting. You might want to turn off your caps lock.

By chance are you staying at AKL? The reason I ask is because they don't allow them there because they are considered a danger to the animals. I think the rest of the resorts allow them tho.

Julie, I don't think it should be any problem because there have been balloons in our room at check-in -- but a friend ordered them, so I can't tell you who she called to arrange it. Maybe you should try calling your resort and they'll direct you to the right person. Once at check-in DH decided he wanted a room other than the one we'd been assigned, and we were asked to wait a few minutes while they "moved" something (it turned out to be a fruit tray). Good luck!

I deliver things all the time for people prior to their check in. If the room hasn't been assigned, they will hold the item until the guest checks in. At that time, they will either give it to the guest or deliver it to the room shortly after check in.

If the room has been assigned and they have a runner available (depends on how busy they are), they will place the item in the guest's room.

The one time I got something for my dd, it was delivered to her upon check-in. I was prepared to be disappointed but was very pleasantly surprised. When she was given this beautiful box with a huge balloon tied to it...well, she was the envy of the entire lobby area!!! The one thing that I would have had done differently was to have them wait until we had a room though. Maybe Feralpeg knows the answer to this....if you order something for a guest, can you stipulate that it be placed in the room, once they are assigned a room? I ask because sometimes, more often than not, if you are checking in early you may not be able to get into your room. Then, you have a wonderful gift in your hands but then have to leave it with Bell Services until you can get into the room. I wonder if they could hold it until the room is actually all ready for occupation, after someone has already checked in but waiting to get in?

I would say they could definately hold it until your room is ready. However, some of the resorts (All Stars, for sure), had me leave my baskets with Bell Services in the first place. It all depends on the resort.
