Do all of the rooms at the GF have balconies? and do they have furniture so you can sit out on the balcony? We will be there from6/23-7/1 in a garden view room. Which is the best building to request for view and location? Is it possible to get an upgrade to a lagoon view if so,what is the best way to do it? Thanks Nancy

All the regular rooms have porches/balconies. There is a small table & 2 chairs. Garden view also includes marina view, which can also include a partial lagoon view. We had one in 1999 in Conch Key. It faced the marina, the monorail and the lagoon near the monorail. It was still considered garden view because there was a walkway between the building and the water.

Yes...definitely request Conch Key - it faces the monorail and marina, rather then the pool.

IMHO - this is a FAR better view, and much quieter to!

Have Fun...

We booked our vacation at GF last year with DVC points which meant they could give us whatever, really a garden/standard view. The only request I made when I reserved was a MK view, if possible, but she told me it wasn't guaranteed which I knew.

We ended up in Boca Chica bldg. which I think has the MOST views of Magic Kingdom and the Lagoon. Our view was amazing!!! We were VERY happy! We could see all of MK, Contemporary, and the Poly. All the rooms that are odd numbered, definitely view the lagoon and probably Magic Kingdom. The even numbered ones probably view the main pool.

When we rented a boat, we could pull right up to where our room window was and take a picture of it!

Good luck!
