First time to Universal in April! Yippee!

We have a standard room booked at RPH, for our family of four.

Do any of these rooms have balconies or patios? Is it possible to request this?

AND....

... how big is the bathroom/dressing area?

The reason for questions is that we still put our kids (ages 9 and 7) to bed reasonably early, and my husband and I like to have somewhere to cower in the dark and read with our book lights, or watch an iPad movie..... is this room likely to be big enough for that? We just need somewhere a little bit away from the beds to sit... is this feasible???

None of the rooms at RPH or HRH have balconies or patios and only a few do at PBH

We stayed at RPR last year and this was the one drawback....no balconies. Otherwise the room was perfect. A nice size, beautiful decor, the bathroom wasn't overly large but the sink area is separate and has plenty of space and is slightly separated from the bedroom area...like an alcove. There is a seating area next to the window which is plenty spacious but you are still trapped in the room after your kids bed down for the night. Enjoy your stay....I know we did!

Thanks everyone! We wil make it work with a book light and the alcove or sink areal.... Not ideal, but we will live! Just a few more years until this will not be a problem any longer!
