OK, my son ask for this for xmas. Up until 2 weeks ago, I had NO idea what this was. (he is 9 btw). I went to the store and seen some small ones, but seen areas with tags, but no merchandise. What are the popular ones that I should keep my eyes out for? I bought a purple/black big one and a silverish big one today ($9.99 each) and I bought a 2 small ones with some other stuff (it comes in a box, and everything seems to be japenese writing so I don't know what else it includes..that was $34.99).

My son is 9 also and loves them. He recommends Hydronoid (he's red), Dragonoid (also red and one of the main characters in the cartoon), and Fear Ripper (green). You can also get a battle stadium at Toys R Us for about $15-20. They are kinda of cool. The have a magnetic piece in them and when you but the ball on the card provided they automatically open up. Bakugan is a battle game like Yugio and Pokemon.

I had never heard of it either but my young cousins, both boys, just asked for it tonight.

I was told specifically to purchase the Bakugan Battle Arena, around $30, for them to share, and then to get each of them a Combo Pak, which is a ball and playing cards, around $6.

I was also told they are in stock at Target right now, but won't last b/c they are so popular.

I have no idea what they actually are or do, although this reminds me of the BeyBladz craze from a few years ago.

Our Target just implemented a maximum of 3 Bakugan packs per person. Everyone is out here, luckily I found some series 1 Bakugan last month.

Does anyone know if series 2 is out yet? I also need big ones.

My stores also are all out. My DS has 45 of them, and loves them. I did find some for Christmas.

My Toys R Us did put a limit on them also, Target seems to be the best for having them in stock. When you see them buy them!!! They will not be there an hour later.

How weird that this was brought up today! I was just wracking my brain yesterday trying to figure out what to get my nephews for Christmas. They are turning 9 & 11. I was tired of getting them video games, and wanted to get them things they could actually play with, so I started searching on Amazon, and these Bakugan thingies came up. I checked them out on Amazon, Target and Ebay, and ended up buying some for them, along with a book and a puzzle each. I'm happy to see it's obviously something little boys want, and I'm glad I got them when I did. Target was sold out, and Amazon didn't have exactly what I wanted, but I did luck out on Ebay.

We got several for my stepson who just turned 7 for Christmas. They are very hard to find around here but the ones we have we got from Target.

We were in Target a few nites ago and saw the Bakutin and bought 2 of those but they were $20 and once I got home I saw that they only come with 2 figures. Those will go back since I can't see a 7 year old caring about having the tin to put them in. I would rather spend that much and get him 2 more of the 3 packs that are $10 each.

These are definitely the hot thing right now.

I think I'm a little too late to the party, so if I happen to catch one for Christmas I do, if not...DS-8 will just have to wait.

I just found out about them a couple weeks ago.

I got some at Fred Meyers and Walgreen's.

Some of those empty spots mean they haven't received them yet and some mean they have and they are gone already.

Oh boy -- I'm so glad I'm not alone!! My DS who is 6 LOVES these things. He came home with them and I thought he was calling them Bakclava!

A few weeks ago I bought him a set of 6 from Toys R Us for around $23...but it was tough pickings there. The only reason I bought the set was because it was the only one. I've also noticed when the kids have Nickelodeon on there are now commercials for the battleground. It's gotta be a big toy this year.

Good luck to all of us in finding these little treasures!

They are something else aren't. My two grandsons have some and would like more for Christmas. I guess they are hard to find. remember "cabbage patch dolls". Happy hunting.

We were able to pick up 2 packs with the small balls in them at Target. Last 2 packs they had of those. DS-8 had gift certificates from his birthday way back when and we just never got around to going.

He lucked out finding those 2 packages. Of course, now Santa has no idea what to bring as this wasn't really on the list just a couple weeks ago! At least the good news is it's something he has very little in, so easy enough to get whatever and it not be a duplicate!

My sister was able to pick my son up 2 of the big ($10) ones, and I was finally able to find 2 of the smaller ($7) ones. The battle arena seems to be everywhere here (with great sales and coupons too), but the actual figures are really, really hard to find. I'd gotten in the habit of just checking Target and Walmart everytime I stopped in for something else, and finally found them about the 10th time. My sister did the same thing and found them 2 different times, both times grabbing the last one.

My sister bought my ds a set from Sams that has a tin, 6 bakugans, cards, and a mat. She did not tell me how much she paid.

My son is almost 8, and has never heard of them. I figured they must not be popular in our area, but they are sold out everywhere so I guess they're just not popular with his friends at. I bought the arena from Target then found some single packs of the balls at Walmart. I don't even know if I have the right thing. They say B2 Bigger Brawlers Booster Pack then on the side say Bakupearl Series. Will he be able to play with these or will I have to find something else? I don't want to invest too much money in case he doesn't like it.
