I was looking at the menus tonight on Allears and am trying to find some things my picky 14 year old will eat at some of the restaurants we want to go to. I came across the sides at LeCellier, and she is a mac & cheese freak and would eat it 3 times a day if allowed. Anyway, i wondered if anyone has had this, was it any good and would it possibly be enough for a very small picky teenage girl??

I had it .... Amazing there are pics posted in my food report, link in siggie. More than enough for an entree for a lite eater. I am planning on pairing it with a side salad for lunch when I go back in May

My 13 yr old dd and I both LOVED it last October!! It is gruyere cheese, not american cheese, but it is yummy!

I love their mac and cheese. It has a different flavor than what your DD is used to, I suppose. Like elgerber said, it is made with a gruyere cheese so it has a little bit of a tang (think similar to swiss cheese). I LOVE gruyere cheese, so it is one of my favorite mac and cheese dishes. (I also really like the mac and cheese at The Cracker Barrel - but it is more of a colby/velveeta mixture.)

Our DS always orders the mac and cheese and a side of fries for dinner at Le Cellier. :)

Thank you so much for the responses, that was exactly what I was hoping to hear. I hated the thought of crossing this off our list!! I will have to check out the sides and appetizers at some of the other places I was afraid of due to her picky habits :)

I am the only person in my family who will eat mac & cheese so it seems a waste to order this large side just for myself. Have friends who just returned who told me "it's worth it, order it!".

I'm considering it!

We went for lunch, and it's an entree then.

Both of my DDs (11 and 14) got the mac initially and neither liked it b/c of the strong cheese flavor, and neither are picky eaters at all. I think so many Kraft Mac cups w/powder cheese has set a cheap standard for them! Kids aren't into the cultured Gueyere cheese flavor.

HOWEVER, our waitress was fantastic and the second she realized the girls didn't like the mac she asked them what else they wanted and promptly brought it out for them. They both got kid's steak and loved it!
