Has anyone used the "chicken" exits at RNR, Tot, and EE??? I have a family member that doesn't want to ride but I want to see the queue? (sp?)... are these clearly marked??
Thanks Jill

They aren't marked, but all you need do is mention to the CM at the start of the ride you want to bail and they'll direct you to the exit. I did see that EE's is right on the platform and have seen T0T guests exit via the "non dropping" elevator between the ride elevators. I want to say I noticed a couple of guests exiting RnR just to the left of the line where the stretch limos arrive.

I used the one on haunted mansion when the ride was clearly malfunctioning but they kept loading groups in. It was just a door marked "exit" - pretty easy to find

Its always near the CM that asks you how many in your party.

At RNR its to the left of the CM, at ToT the CM will direct you between the two loading platforms to the before mentioned elevator and at EE I think they open a gate and you are now on the exit platform and able to exit using the regular exit path.

For each one, you will end up in the Gift Shop like everyone else.

I've used the chicken exit at just about every thrill ride at WDW (and even some non-thrill rides!) When DD was younger, I didn't want to send her through the line by herself (it's usually just the two of us on these trips) so I would wait with her and then exit at the last moment. Just be sure to tell all the CMs that someone isn't riding.

Don't worry, bailing is done all the time for various reasons.
The queues are very much worth experiencing, the EE & TOT lines are like attractions themselves, without ever riding! ;)

We used the "bail-out" exit on Tower of Terror our last night in August. It was EMH so they had fewer elevators running and then they all broke down. So we just decided to leave. All you do is go to the CM and tell them that you dont want to ride and they will escort you out. The ToT "bail out" exit is an elevator though. It doest drop 13 stories but if you hold your arms up it is like you rode the ride lol.

ohhh i never thought about that - dh wants to ride those but with dd only 3 and me not really liking those kinds of rides i always miss them - i did go on the star wars one the first time we went together so i know i'd love to see the line entertainment but i won't ride it again.

good to know i can go with dd in the line and see all the great passtime stuff then exit before the actual ride.

Oh, come on...you know it was just tooooooooo much for you to handel. You're fine with grim grinning ghosts when they stay to themselves, but if they come out to socialize, that's just the straw that breaks the camel's back.

hehehe...just kidding...and i'm not picking a fight...this is my DW's post:lovestruc  :lovestruc

LOL I knew some CMs at TOT and apparently it happens often that guests freak out using the bail-out exit there as they think they are getting on the actual ride because its an elevator! hehe but I can understand the confusion about it! :rotfl2:

I know one of my kiddos will chicken out on me. Good info to have.

The bail out door at RnR has one of the coasters cars sitting in it. DS didn't want to go on it so we did the child swap. DH and DD went on the ride and we went through the bail out door to where they get off the ride. (Not without first stopping and taking a few "scared to death" pictures in the coaster car.) Then DH and DD got off the ride near the gift shop and we walked back through the bail out door the other way and got on and rode ourselves. I have to say child swap is great for parents who have a child that is too small or just doesn't want to go on it at all. Take advantage of it.
