Maybe this isn't the place to ask this - mods, please move it if need be - but I figured you fine folks might be able to help me out.

I am researching bags for our (far in the future) upcoming trip. I was dissatisfied with the bag I had last time - it just was NOT comfortable. I try not to carry too much stuff, but I do need sunscreen, cameras, hand sanitizer, tickets, money, phone, etc. I would also love to be able to bring along my tripod for my camera for fireworks pictures. It is a small tripod - maybe 16 inches or so when collapsed?

So I have been looking at the Baggallini Messenger bag. Owners of this bag - any reviews? Tell me the pros and the cons. Is it worth the price? Is it comfy? Does the shoulder strap ride easy, or dig into your neck? Would it hold my stuff plus my tripod? If it isn't big enough for the tripod... any suggestions for a lightweight bag to shlep my stuff around?

Most importantly - any Pooh-sized owners of this bag? IS it comfy on a larger person? It there enough "adjust" in the straps? Thanks!

I just bought one of these for my 12yo DD - w/ Disney in mind. I personally just love the bag (for her). She has just a few things to carry.

I don't know what you carry for photography equipment, exactly, but I don't know if there'd be enough room in there (probably depends what you have - a pns should be fine, but larger camera and lenses, batteries, tripod, etc, not so sure). Also the lotions, gels, water, etc, can spill on your equipment when they're all in the same compartment.

If you do go that route, I'd probably bring those little tiny travel size tubes of sunscreen (like a small toothpaste tube) and sanitizer and keep them in a strong ziplock bag, and keep a water bottle in an outside pocket.

Is it possible for you to bring a smaller tripod or gorillapod?

I don't have a lot of camera equipment, I am still firmly in the pns camp. *hangs head in shame* In fact I just got a new Kodak EasyShare 12.something megapixel camera for Xmas. And the camera is usually in my hand or pocket - I take a LOT of pictures. I would probably just tuck it in an outside pocket of whatever bag I had.

This tripod is the only one I have, so it will likely be the one going with me.

Congrats on your new camera. :) It sounds like it should be fine, then, if your tripod will fit in there. Good luck and have a fun trip. Let us know how it works out later.
