I'm a little embarrassed to say we have never taken advantage of the luggage transfer service and am unsure how it works. We will be staying at the Beach Club and I want to make sure I don't embarrass myself. So, when we arrive can we pull up right out front of the resort like at wl. Do we tip as soon as they start to unload and do we move our car to the parking lot when they are done - we don't intend to valet park. Or do we simple go in while they are unloading and get in line to check in - how would they know then who's luggage it is and what about moving the car? I'm so confused and really don't want to look like I just crawled out of the rabbit hole only to discover civilization had grown all around me  !

If you don't want to valet the car, I would wait until they get all the luggage out of the car and onto a cart and then give the tip, they give you a check receipt for the luggage, move the car to self park and then walk to the lobby to check-in. When you get to your room, you call bell services and they deliver the luggage. I tip the bellman who delivers the luggage too. There was recently a thread on whether it is necessary to tip the person who takes the luggage out of the car, but I tip both, they are doing me a service.

The only thing I would add to what DebbieB said is that if there is 2 of you, one can wait for the luggage to be unloaded and move the car while the other person goes in and starts the check-in process. Also, the tip is normally $1 per bag in case you didn't know.
