Bag for the parks

So it's been years since I've carried a bag in the parks. But, I'm tired of trying to juggle all the stuff I usually try to shove into my pockets (i.e. phone, camera, magic band). I'm really wanting a Dooney And Bourke Disney bag to take with me, but at the same time I remember it being a pain to deal with bags when you go. So do you carry a bag in the parks? If yes, what type of bag do you carry? If no, what do you do with all the little things to carry around.

I carry a clear (see through) Plastic DW bag. The kind you get in the gift shops.

I carry a small backpack. I'm fair skinned and need lots of sunscreen and a hat. Also bring my wallet, phone, portable charger and meds.

We have always taken a backpack, (though, we've only been twice) and I didn't think it was ever a hassle, even with 2 kids. It fit with us easily in all of the rides at my feet, didn't really take long to get through security, and was a must have for sunscreen, drinks, ponchos, etc..

I'm the same way. I carry my phone, a little cash, my Disney Visa, my DL, and because there's a little more space in the bag I throw in a few tissues, a band aid or two, and my lip gloss. That's it. If it looks like we're going to have rain, there's also room for a cheapy rain poncho.

Last year I used a Baggallini Bryant Smartphone Pouch but I'm downsizing to a waterproof lanyard phone case for the next trip (I actually use this for other trips already). There's enough space in the phone case for cash and my DL and CC. I'll keep my lip gloss and tissues in my pocket. If I need a rain poncho, I'll either keep it in a pocket or use the Baggallini bag that day.

I do best with a crossbody as well. Dooney has a few Disney crossbody styles. I generally use a larger bag in "real" life, but I try to really pare down what I take with me to the parks. When the kids were younger, that was tougher, but now everyone gets to carry their own stuff!

I usually carry my regular purse with should strap. But I'm going in Oct for F&W and decided to down size, and bought a clear plastic cross body purse from eBay for $7 including shipping. Will just take wallet, Kleenex & sunglasses and hope that since bag check can see everything I will breeze through! I also bought a clear plastic bag big enough to carry raincoats & umbrella when necessary. I like to support safety measures, but feel some but not all are over zealous when checking bags so trying to make life easier for them and me

I really like the idea of the lanyard phone case - do you think this qualifies as bagless? It is primarily just a phone case

When I use a 'bag' I take a Vera Bradley wristlet (I looked and it seems they have discontinued the one I use) with one large accordion area that fits my phone, glasses, chapstick. The wristlet works really well on rides - and the fact that it is washable is a plus.

I carry a small Vera Bradley backpack. I bring my phone, a travel-size sunscreen, chapstick with spf, wallet, and dollar store ponchos. I also wear glasses and use prescription sunglasses and the VB backpack has an outer pocket with an easy-to-access magnetic flap so I can change glasses easily. I find I don't use a portable charger, though I have one, so I stopped carrying it; we take afternoon resort breaks so we charge phones at that time.

I'm really not a fan of the way crossbodies accentuate "the girls", at least on me. I don't notice it on other people, but on myself, I feel like it stands out!

My daughter-in-law was always directed to the no bag line when she used her lanyard phone case last summer.

I would like to get by with a cross body, but we have a big camera and DH generally carries it, but on rides he likes to put it in the backpack. So, we just carry and LL Bean backpack. I took a Vera Bradley backpack a couple years, but it was so girly that I always had to carry it. Now that we use the LL Bean, DH and I take turns carrying it.

Besides the usual (money, phone, etc), I always need room for a poncho and a bottle of water.

My sister and DH like the Kavu bags. It is handy to have for rides, you just swing the bag to the front when you get on and then to the back when you get off so you never have to take it off!

I cannot imagine going to Disney without a bag (but I have allergies and epinephrine doesn't exactly fit well into women's shorts pockets). I used cross body purses for a long time, but found that they put strain on my neck. A few years ago I switched to a Patagonia atom sling and I love it. It's not very big, but holds everything I need it to. Has straps that can be used to strap a jacket to the bag if needed for cool mornings/evenings, so the jacket doesn't have to take up precious space in the bag. It is super easy to swing around to get stuff out of it or to sit for most rides while still wearing it. By far my favorite theme park bag ever. I hardly notice I'm wearing it. I have also used the Kavu sling like pictured above. I like it, but not quite as much as my atom sling.

Last trip I carried my Vera Bradley Mini Hipster Crossbody bag. I really liked it because it's very light weight and I could fit everything I needed (chap stick, mini sunscreen bottle, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, mints, a couple bandaids, mini deodorant(sometimes you gotta reapply in the Florida heat haha), some cash, my ID, credit card, phone, portable charger, even a small poncho when needed). I'm also a huge fan of the fanny pack coming back in style. A string bag is also a nice option if you need more room.

Mine is pink, and didn't have the crossbody strap, just the wristlet. It's big enough for cash, cards, chapstick, eye drops, my phone, bandaids, wet wipes, etc and my sunglasses on rides. I've just replaced it with one that has removable wristlet and crossbody straps I got from amazon. I don't like the look of a crossbody in pics, which is why I like the wristlet. I don't carry a separate camera anymore, I just use my phone, so I find a small bag like this is perfect.

Now, my everyday purse is a beast and I carry everything in it....
