We generally avoid bringing bags to the park b/c of the wait to get them checked. However, I was curious whether I will have to wait in line to get my camera case checked. Does that count as a bag? It is just a small case that clips to my belt. :confused3

yes I had to stand in line to get my camera bag checked and it was small. It wasn't too bad last week and there was usually no line so it shouldn't hold you up.

1) Nah.
2) I just walk right past with my cammera case on my belt. *
3) However, I do open the flap as I walk by the guard.
4) Have not been stopped or asked to open it further.

* Case is just a little larger than camera, at about 4"w x 2"h x 1"d

I think you'll find that it varies from guard to guard. I just last week I had a very slim waist-pack on - just big enough to hold money and park passes.

Some asked me to stop and open it - some did not, just waved me past. The one time i tried to slip by unnoticed, I got called back. :confused3 They then just asked me to open it up - and I was on my way.

FYI there is an entrance at some of the parks specially for people without bags. At the MK for example it is in the center - it too has 2 guards manning it that will check you out as you pass by.

We always had our camera bag checked. I don't think it is a big deal. We went in June and there was never much of a line.

Yes, when I was there 2 weeks ago, some lady tried to go threw the no bags area, just carring a small disney bag with something she bought @ that store by the monorails at the TTC.

If you can cover it with your shirt, you can bring anything into the park and not have to go through the lines, including a video camera...don't ask me how I know. :teeth:

I went in July (we only bring a bag with essentials) and the lines weren't that bad. MAx. 5 min.

We always have to get our camera bag checked. We have went during peak season and value season and it is always pretty quick. Definately worth bringing our camera in its bag! :cheer2:

It really doesn't take that long to get through the security part - just have everyone in your party get their bags opened before you get up to the counter area.

It's always taken us longer to get through the ticket part than the security part!
