Bag Check?

Yes. I would expect it's standard policy from now on.

During our last trip the lines were so slow that we stopped carrying bags. Perhaps the process is a bit more effecient presently.

If you carry a bag, put all the stuff inside the bag inside gallon ziplock bags.

You then take your clear ziplock bags out of your main bag and get through much faster.

Keeps your stuff dry too. :cool1:

Yeah and when I was there 2 weeks ago Epcot was really having a problem no NO BAG entry had to go thru bag entry and the bag check was to close to the ticket machine and it was really holding up the lines gettin in Epcot. Thankfully it was never crowded all week while I was there.

Lines was shorter at Epcot when we went to dinner in the evening to get in the park but it took 5 times longer at Epcot than any other park anytime all week due to not enough space between bag check and ticket entry. We was in Epcot daily for dinner and not once did I see the NO BAG entry open.

How closely do they go through bags? (NOT that we are planning to have anything inappropriate!!!) We will have a diaper bag and a back pack - both crammed with stuff. Do you have to empty it all out? I could see that taking forever! Or do they just take a quick peek through your bags? Thanks!

Duckyfordonald, it depends on who's doing the checking. I always carry two bags - a purse and a tote - and sometimes they'd just get a cursory glance, once a guard actually opened ALL the zipper pockets on my purse AND the pocket on the back of my ECV. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I don't carry anything illegal or illicit, but she did comment on Mickey's bottom (my keychain) facing up at her :)

I wish they had an "express line" for those carrying one small item. When we went to AK last time it looked like a bunch of families elected on person to wheel there stroller with 3-4 large bags. (smart idea, but not for the person behind them with just a camera case)

7 more days :hourglass yipee

I do not carry a bag anymore for that reason. I have a little wallet thing that I wear around my neck with my ID, money, AP, and credit card....I think it is the best idea yet...they never stop me.. it is the size of a credit card.

I always wear pants with pockets and have tissues, etc in the pockets...if I have a jacket tied around my waist that might have antibacterial wipes, sunscreen, and a few personal items in the pockets...

It works for me and I do not get stuck with a huge bag going through security...I am thinking here though, sometimes I have a cell phone or a camera and it is in my pocket....should Disney be checking that as well????

How secure is that security?? I do not have a huge bag with me and that is what they are checking??

Sounds like some good ideas. We usually have our small digital camera which is in a camera bag size is about 3 1/2" x 5" (yes, I'm a geek and just measured it :guilty: )
And just assumed we needed to go in the bag check line.
Wish they had an express line :worship:
Also wish I had all these cute faces in my regular email!
