The bad news is when i got home from school in real life the lights where off.the lights where off because when my mom got done shopping and came home with my gradma the upstairs toilet pipe burst, and all the water went downstairs. When i went downstairs to see what happend.............................THERE WAS A INCH OF WATER ON THE FLOOR SO I HAD TO WEAR BOOTS!!the upstairs bathroom is on top of the downstairs bathroom..so that was why there is water on the floor. But my brother's room and sister's room are downstairs. So they lost their carpet, christmas onaments on their christmas tree.U should have saw what the downstairs bathroom looked like H e dobble hockey sticks it made me cry for about a hour long.Downstairs the toilet paper was all sogy, the thing on the wall on top of the toilet downstairs was half way off the wall, the concreet tiles on the roof where on the floor in the bathroom and my brothers room.(my brothers room is across from the bathroom)It was just a real disaster. Now downstairs we have fans that blow hot air to dry the water out.And my sister has to sleep in my room for about more than a cople weeks. The person who is fixing the floor and that stuff said that it would not be fixed until a few weeks of so.We have to get new carpet for every place downstairs that has carpet.I was not on VMK yesterday because of that I could not use the phone or computer. This is why I posted this post.It happed yesterday I swear it did.I cross my heart hope to die stick a needle in my eye on the fourth of July!IF YOU FEEL SORRY FOR ME PLEASE POST!!!!!

The carpet is being put in now.(hopefully my sister does not have to sleep in my rooom anymore!)It was very bad damage. We all hope in are family(me, Ryan,Ashely,Mom,and Dad)that all of the carpet will be put in by Christmas. Please post if you feel sorry!

Sorry to hear that. I understand exactly how you feel! Years ago when we lived in Pennsylvania our basement was flooded a couple inches deep from rain. We lost alot of stuff to water damage. I'm sorry you had to experience that damage and lost. It's frustrating.

srry to hear that :`( just makes me think of all the ppl in the world that is blessed witha dinner a day and some ppl in the world sometimes don't even get food all day it just makes me sick bc i feel like im the cause of it and im not helping. srry to hear about your house again.

Living in South Louisiana- I know way to many people who can sympathise with you... Just look at the bright side- you aren't having to wait with thousands of others who need the same repairs- so it will happen sooner than later.

But that is a mess...

I lost a lot of my stuff to a flood a few years back, so I do feel for you.
It is not fun!
Hope all is back to normal soon. :earsboy:

(Sorry I did not see this post last month.)

Oh no! That's frustrating! I do feel bad that happened to your family. :(

wow yours is worse than my bad luck. my family moved into this house when i was born and not long later my house was ROBED!! they stole mony my dad gun ( he had a permit ) and my parents wedding rings! so sad but i no yours is as bad as mine

oh my gosh that is so sad! one time i was at my friends house and the phone rang. it seems that my friends older brother's house was robbed! can you believe that. they stole like all this stuff!

well that is a pity my garage was flooded in wilma a couple of months ago. there was about a foot of water but the living part was about 8 feet up so it wasnt affected but you got it a lot worse but atleast our dirt mound survived wilma it also survived about 3 other hurricanes. and also that seems weird that a toilet can do all that.

So sorry! I remember during the hurricanes, my WHOLE house flooded. We did have to throw away lots of our stuff.
Off topic: Hi gtou! Never knew you were dis my friend!

yea during hurricane Izzy we lost power for three days. i never felt so stinky in my whole life.

off topic: oh my gosh hey funny!

I'm sorry you experienced such a loss. I hope things are back to normal or almost normal by now.

Wow, that is really bad! Everyone else's bad stories too! I'm glad nothing like that has happened to me.

Here is a funny story though....when hurricane Charlie came (I think Charlie....since we had three in a row, who knows which one  ) I was in my apartment I shared with my sister and roommate. We were all prepared for the hurricane, and playing cards and stuff. My roommate (at the time) decided that even though one bathtub was already full of water, she wanted to fill up hers. she is not very bright, plus she was under the influence of something cold and frothy  Maybe a little too much. She came back after starting the tub and continued playing the cards.

Well, we were about to move out soon, and I was not getting along with the roommate (we had a huge fight and were not friends anymore). This was really mean of me, i'll admit, but I had a feeling that she (in her current state) had not turned the tub off. I did think that there were drain holes that kept the tub from overflowing. So I did not say anything.

Knock at the door about an hour later: "Hey, I'm your downstairs neighbor, and I dont' know what is going on, but water is dripping into our kitchen..."
My sister, her boyfriend, and I all said at the same time "You didn't turn off the tub!!!!!"

She runs to her bedroom (the bathroom was connected) and we are close on her heels. Not only is the bathroom filled with about three inches of water, but so was most of the carpet outside the bathroom. We used every towel both dirty and clean in the apartment, plus buckets, and whatever we could find to sop it up, and finally got it into ok shape. But boy, did that carpet stink for a while.

Glad we moved out soon!

P.S. MegElizabeth, I know what happened to your family was really terrible, I'm not making light of it with my story, I just thought I would add a little humor. It was very funny and sucked at the same time. Give us an update: how is your house doing now?
