Has there been any meal at any of the parks/hotels that has put you out of commission? At least temporarily?

Yes! Last August, on our departure date, I had one of those HUGE ice cream cookie sandwiches at the Main Street Bakery in the MK. I'd had one before, but this time it was just too much (using up the last snack credit, after having the CP breakfast only about three hours earlier). Needless to say, I was out of commission (moaning and groaning) but felt much better on the flight home. It was a miserable send-off from a wonderful visit, and I'll carefully re-consider anything that HUGE in the future!

YES! But it certainly wasn't BAD..just wayyyy too much!
On our HM in 2003 it was a rainy day in Septmeber..and we had decided the night before we would skip the parks and do the pool..THEN THE RAIN CAME....
Wellllll we were staying at The Beach Club..so what better way to spend a rainy day in WDW on your honeymoon...THEN TO...........

:rotfl2:
EAT A HUGE (THE BIGGEST) Sundea from Beaches N Cream! I mean this thing was like 10 scoops! And we EACH got one! I was sooo sick for the rest of the day! So it was kind of good it was so crappy out! We just hung at the hotel!

Had a banana virgin daquiri at Rainforest cafe once and that made me sick for hours! Not good when we went to the Dolphin for dinner. Never going back there again!

I had a funnel cake at Magic Kingdom that made me sick for a couple of days.

About 5 yrs ago, we ate at Planet Hollywood. I had some kind of peanut chicken dish. I ended up throwing up all night and could not eat for two days. Needless to say, we have never returned to that restaurant.

You each ate a Kitchen Sink? You should have been awarded medals for that! It gives me a pain just to see one!

I've never had any food make me sick, but I try to avoid buffets, where the holding temperature of foods could be questionable or the odds of catching a norovirus are increased. I also don't like mayo, which can also spoil if at the wrong temperature. But I'm sure, given the volume of food that Disney sells, there have been a few incidents here and there.

December 2006, Trails End Buffet. We think it was the salad. Two people in our party, the two who ate the salad ended up in Celebration Hospital for a couple of days. It took us a week before we got over it. :sad1:

Cape May - seafood buffet. My DS threw up in the middle of the night and 5 of the rest of our group felt sick the whole next day.

shrimp and pasta dish at the sci-fi. Puked all night.

I got food poisoning on another trip as well, but I don't remember where that time. I just remember a very short visit to AK before I had to go back to the resort and go to bed for the rest of the day.

Yes, Chef Mickeys dinner Oct 06 on my birthday no less. 4 hours after eating there I was sicker than a dog and praying for death. No one else in my party was ill and we ate the same food for breakfast and lunch and I was the only one that ate the creamy pasta dish at CM

Three people including me got sick this past
Thanksgiving after eating at the Beirgarten. I can't figure out what we ate that the others didn't because I am kind of picky. My MIL was out of commission for 2 days. My son and I for one day. What is wierd is I didn't get sick until about 20 hours after they did. After we recovered we did fine the rest of the week.

My 73 y/o mom got sick after eating at Flame Tree BBQ a couple of years ago. We had to leave AK about 45 minutes after she ate and she was sick all that day, all night, all the next day, and still felt queasy the next day. Not good for a diabetic, who must eat and take insulin. She refuses to return.

I ate a hot carmel sundae at POP a few months later, just prior to leaving for the airport home. Not a good idea--Thankfully the flight was not full and I was allowed to move to the back row next to the restroom, as I spent the entire flight throwing up. Not a good way to end your trip.

My DH spent alot of time in the bathroom in Morocco (he only made it that far around WS after dinner) after eating at San Angel Inn. BUT Mexican food always affects him that way. ;) The rest of us were just fine.:)

Yes, twice.

Once was dinner at Hollywood & Vine. (This was a long time ago - 2001, I think.) We had the dinner package with reserved seating for Fantasmic, and I barely made it through the show before having to find a restroom. The food itself was not good, not even dessert. None of us enjoyed the meal and did not eat much, but I was the only one who got sick. I ended up eating jello and crackers from the food court back in the room. Felt sick for most of the next day and have never had a desire to return.

The second time was a couple of years ago from dinner at Boma. My husband and I both got sick from that one, and I was up all night back and forth to the bathroom. I stayed in bed all day the next day and didn't start to feel better until that evening. I don't think the food was bad there, I think it was some kind of spice(s) that did not agree with the two of us. Our DD was fine. We have since gone back for breakfast and loved it - in fact, I think it is the best non-character breakfast on property. Just not too anxious to do dinner again!

San Angel- never again unless the food gets considerably better. DBF and I ate here before our flight home and it was not good, let's just say. Oh, and we have Mexican food all the time at home, so our systems were plenty used to this kind of food.

Tonga Toast! Easter week 2007 - 8am park opening. We had a bowl of cereal at 6am, did MK, and had a 10:40 at Kona. I ordered the famed Tonga toast and it was gross! Almost made me sick right there. Made our way back to MK and I needed to get some protein fast. I was dizzy and felt nauseated. I will never ever eat that again. (After the protein I was fine, and before the Tonga Toast I was fine - I am positive that was what put me over the edge)
