bad dinning reviews

Earl of Sandwich good food, and resonable prices. Major attitude problems by both the CM's and managers. Will not go back because of their attitudes.

Just shows to go ya' :teeth: , Everyone has a different opinion about the same thing. We always find the folks at Earl's extremely friendly and helpful, including the managers. Go figure.......

This is a fun thread to read. I would start to worry when I read bad reviews of places I plan on eating - but then there are a handful of negative comments about some of our all time favorites like Boma. It just goes to show that everyone has different tastes and your mileage may vary greatly depending on who your server is.

I'll pretty much eat anything, so I'm not as quick to complain about the food as some people - but I do dislike bad service. The worst service we had at any WDW restaurant was at 'Ohana. The guys bringing the meat around were great, but the the girl who was our main server was aloof and then absent. I actually had to start drinking my son's soda because it took so long between drink refills. The girl eventually quick coming by completely - we didn't see her for the last half hour we were there. I finally had to approach the friendly gentleman who was taking care of the next table to ask if someone could bring us the included dessert and the bill.

All that being said, I'm sure we will try 'Ohana again. The food was good and the atmosphere unique - we just got stuck with a dud server that night.

First, there is nothing more gross than biting into a piece of raw chicken!!! :scared1: :faint:

Second, what is up with the ABC Commisary? I had to throw out my breakfast sausage it was so bad! How do you ruin breakfast sausage? I didn't think it was possible!

The only way to ruin a breakfast sausage is to let it sit too long after cooking or not get it cooked enough. Our meal sat too long after cooking. I feel real sorry for those that arrived a half hour after us toward the beginning of the lunch rush. Because it was all 1/2 hour older. Yeeeeuck!!!
I don't think Disney would authorize that. Must me a manager wanting to save himself or herself some hassle. You have to constantly poliice hold times.

By far the worst meal we have every had at WDW was at Concourse Steak House at CR. We went for our Thanksgiving dinner in 2002. I was horrible. I can't speak for the steaks b/c we were having the traditional turkey dinners but I was a poor attempt.

We must have had the same waitress.

The only restaurant that stands out in my mind is the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. The food itself was good. The waiter - absolutely horrible!! Worse than the waitress at Beaches and Cream. We actually complained to the management when we left.

Sorry you had her too. From what I gather, the rude Beaches N Cream waitress has been there for more than a few years. I bet she figures her job is secure so she can get away with her terrible attitude. Like I said, she was not only the most rude waitress at WDW, she was the worst waitress I have encountered anywhere in a very long time. :sad2:

Le Ceiller in Canada would have to get my vote. The food was good, but the wait between courses was TERRIBLE! I wouldn't recommend this meal for people with children. The meal took us over 2 hours, and that was with us absolutely rushing through dessert just to get done. The wait between each course was SO long that it just wasn't worth it!

We had a fantastic dinner there with our kids. The food was FANTASTIC, it came out quickly & the waitress was great with our kids. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

I don't consider this a "Disney restuarant." We have BRG here in TN.

Big River Grill is a chain, one which is a leftover from the micro-brew fad of the mid 90s, and the one at the Boardwalk is not owned or run by Disney. We ate there during our stay last August, and had a generally unimpressive experience for a number of reasons:

- Reservations: if you call Disney dining and ask to book an ADR here, you'll be told "the Big River Grill doesn't take ADRs." While that's literally correct (since it's not a Disney restaurant), the CMs conveniently don't bother to mention you can get a reservation by calling the BRG directly.

- Since we weren't told that( ), we assumed it didn't take any reservations whatsoever, and the night we arrived for dinner, were told that "since we didn't have a reservation," we either had to wait for an hour to be seated...or could get a table immediately by the bar.

- We did the latter....which was a mistake. Tiny, high table in loud bar area, with barely enough room for four plates :crowded: . Made eating an uncomfortable mess.

- Service was slooooooow. A "brewery" that doesn't seem to be in any hurry to re-fill your mug? :rolleyes2

- Food was forgettable (Applebees variant meat and potatoes).

- Pricey for what you get.

Bottom line: BRG is in a tight competition with ESPN for the award of least impressive dining spot on the Boardwalk.

I totally agree! I'm always on the lookout for a tasty burger. I had heard the burgers were delicious at Beaches N Cream, so wanted to try one on our trip last Dec. The burger was terrible. The meat was old. This burger was worse than any counter service I have ever had at WDW and that's saying something, huh? ;)

Agree about how ridiculously over-hyped EVERYTHING at Beaches and Cream is. The place only seems to appeal to those with no experience with a truly good burger or real (read: Herrell's or Cold Stone Creamery) ice cream.
