I don't consider this a "Disney restuarant." We have BRG here in TN.
Big River Grill is a chain, one which is a leftover from the micro-brew fad of the mid 90s, and the one at the Boardwalk is not owned or run by Disney. We ate there during our stay last August, and had a generally unimpressive experience for a number of reasons:
- Reservations: if you call Disney dining and ask to book an ADR here, you'll be told "the Big River Grill doesn't take ADRs." While that's literally correct (since it's not a Disney restaurant), the CMs conveniently don't bother to mention you
can get a reservation by calling the BRG directly.
- Since we weren't told that(

), we assumed it didn't take any reservations whatsoever, and the night we arrived for dinner, were told that "since we didn't have a reservation," we either had to wait for an hour to be seated...or could get a table immediately by the bar.
- We did the latter....which was a mistake. Tiny, high table in loud bar area, with barely enough room for four plates

. Made eating an uncomfortable mess.
- Service was slooooooow. A "brewery" that doesn't seem to be in any hurry to re-fill your mug?
- Food was forgettable (Applebees variant meat and potatoes).
- Pricey for what you get.
Bottom line: BRG is in a tight competition with ESPN for the award of least impressive dining spot on the Boardwalk.
