My dad went for a routine colonoscopy yesterday. The doctor removed 7 polyps. He then told my mom he was 99.999% positive it is cancer :( :( . We won't know all the details for a few days or weeks. I know I have not been a member of the board for a long time, but could you please include my dad in your prayers and send pixie dust his way. He just turned 60 this month and was counting days till his second retirement. I am 37 but still very much a "Daddy's Little Girl" as is my 4 daughters because the sun rises and sets with Gramps. I am trying to be strong for my family and have not told the kids until we get additional info. My heart is just broken.

P.S. I was told he should have had this test done when he turned 50 so just something for everyone to think about and plan for so this does not happen to you. Thank you for your kindness.

I just wanted to update that bloodwork is scheduled for tomorrow a.m., a ct scan for Tues morning and a consult with the surgeon on Nov1. Thanks for your kind words and I am working hard to keep a happy face in front of the little ones.

Prayers go out to your Dad. Please note; My grandfather had colon cancer (they caught it in time) I had my first colonoscopy at 34!!! and they found "pre cancerous" polops. I now have one every two years. If it runs in your family please don't wait until you are 50, have one as soon as you can.

Prayers said for good news. You take care of yourself

My Grandma had surgery this spring for colon cancer. She had maybe 3 or 4 polyps but one was a large one. She is 86 and not in the best of health and recovered fine. They are pretty sure that they got all the cancer. Don't give up hope.

Prayers on their way! I hope all works out well. Take care of yourself and please keep us posted.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this.

I was Daddy's little girl all my life, even in my 40s... you never stop being a Great Daddy's little girl.

May God give him many more years with you and peace through whatever you all will face.

God bless,

Robinrs
