Bad back and carrying water bottles/valuables

How about checking into some of the contraptions that long distance runners use to hold their water bottles. Something like a belt or vest that holds the bottles.

If you don’t like (or can’t tolerate) the hydration belts, maybe something like this? I have a few similar ones. The strap keeps you from having to really grip it and it has a little pocket where you could put stuff that you’d be semi-ok with losing if you did lay it down somewhere (so them maybe you only need your ID and cards in your pockets). Sorry you’ve having so much pain; hope you can enjoy your trip!!E7E6DD55-6826-48D5-B27F-D0C80FF0EAB3.jpeg

Can you wear something around your neck, like a lanyard? Maybe clip a water bottle on to that?

We have used the Chums water bottle caribiners to carry a bottle on a belt loop. And as a break from it being clipped onto pants/shorts, it also makes the bottle easier to carry by hand, just kind of swinging from fingers. Would something like this work for you?

I have both upper and lower back and hip problems. Because of this, I can‘t wear a backpack, sling bag, crossbody, or shoulder bag. I‘ve tried a fanny pack at home and can’t wear one any longer. I also have a water bottle holder with a shoulder strap that I can’t wear anymore. I’m under active treatment for all of my issues, but I’m trying to figure out what to do for our upcoming trip in January. These days I mostly just carry a wallet or just money and cards on me in my clothes and carry a reusable bag with a water bottle. And I have to have a water bottle with me at all times for medication that requires me to stay really hydrated.

Besides just carrying the reusable bag like I do at home, is there any other option that anyone can think of? I’ve been looking at water bottle holders that at are handheld rather than with a shoulder strap and that you can put a phone and money in, but I feel like I would be more likely to just leave something like that on a ride. I feel like I’m out of ideas, but if anyone can think of one I’d appreciate it, with the caveat that I really can’t wear bag at this point. TIA.

I have the bad back and bad knees problems. I go again in January and February after a recent trip in November. My friend, same age which starts with a 7, had no problems. I had problems. I'm fairly skinny, it's not a weight issue. I've never been one to stay in the parks for more than 2-4 hours previously. I would go back and rest up, then come out for another hour or two. I want to be able to get some value out of my ticket and to actually see fireworks, stage shows and other entertainment. Disney has removed many benches over the years so it's not easy to relax in the parks unless sitting to eat. I need more 5 minute rests to sit.

Have thought about a scooter. Don't want the cost and inconvenience - yet. I'm thinking seriously about a rollator or walker. There are models with bags and cup holders and a seat that may be enough to sustain me for short periods. Many of them fold and take less space. I was speaking to a lady who was using one and whose husband was in a scooter. She had rented it and it was her first time using it. She said it made a tremendous difference in her ability to manage the parks.

It's difficult to carry a bag or backpack when you have a back that hurts no matter what. I've gone without water to manage, but that's not an option anymore. I can stash a card and ID in my pocket, but that water bottle can be debilitating although necessary. There's also the cellphone and the small jacket which is needed early mornings and then has to be carried later, not to mention the sunglasses and reading glasses and rain protection. I've long since left my cameras and lens at home for Disney trips - too much to carry.

It's also not easy to stand in line to get free water.

I will be buying a walker/rollator for my next trip. I think it will make a difference for me.
