Backyard BBQ and Water Parade?

Is it possible to do both in the same night? We have reservations for Mickey's BBQ at Ft Wilderness at 6:30. According to Allearsnet the show goes until 9:30. Also, according to that site, the Water Parade should pass Ft Wilderness at 9:45. Do you think we will be able to catch it? How far is the beach from the pavilion?

You should be able to catch it, if you exit quickly. The beach wasn't too far from the pavilion, walking distance.

Thanks! Would that still be possible if you knew that we were travelling with a party of 8 including DS1 and DS3?

When you 1st arrive at Fort Wilderness, go into the store and ask for a Fort wilderness map if you don't already have one. That way you can scope out the easiest way for you to find the marina area. We saw it 2 weeks ago from the Contemporary. It was really nice, but none of my pictures turned out. Each one is very blurry.

How long does it take for the entire parade to pass by? If we are late by a minute or too do we miss too much?

I checked a map of Ft. Wilderness online and we are pretty close to the beach (or at least it appears so).
