Backstage Magic Vs Keys To The Kingdom...

hello

last year, dh and i treated ourselves for a anniversary present, and took the "backstage magic tour".. We loved it!!! we are heading back down again this year, and i wanted to sign up for another tour.. i was looking at the "keys to the kingdom", and wanted to how it compares to the the backstage magic tour.. we were looking for something differenent, and didn't know if we would re-visit alot of the areas that we had seen last year, or if it's a totally different experience. thanks for any helpfull info!!!

I have never done the Backstage Magic Tour, but I loved the KTTK tour. I think I would probably do it again, because every tour guide has different information they share. There was a lot of trivia centered around MK, plus two rides and a backstage tour. Hopefully this will bump your post up so someone who has done both can weigh in!

We have done both tours. First of all we have done the backstage magic twice and basically both were different in info on each. Yes we went to three parks and had lunch at Mama Melrose, but we went to different areas back stage one each tour.

This tour does not compare with the KTTk tour. We liked both tours. The KTTK tour only does the MK as most of the tours except the BSM tour does three parks. Each one is very informational in its own way.

I would not even try to compare both of the them, as each one is its own tour;

If you have not done the KTTK, I would recommend doing it. It seems to be one of the most popular tours.

maybe i will just go ahead and book it.. i just didn't know if you go "underground" and stuff like we did on the backstage magic tour... we wanted to do different things.. but who i'm i kidding, i wouldn't complain if i had to do that again!!!

Yes you do go underground on both tours. On the BackStage Magic you see more than you do on the KTTK tour.

DH and I just did the KttK tour over Labor Day weekend. We loved it!!! Our tour guide was awesome...Jennifer was her name. She was so full of information and her love of Walt Disney was evident in everything she said and did. I knew alot of the things she taught us that day but really enjoyed it anyways. We had lunch at Columbia Harbour House which we had never done. It was nice. And, yes, we did go "backstage" where we learned tons of cool info.

If you go, you may try asking for Jennifer. She is going for her first visit to Disneyland this month and was so excited to see where it all started.

Make sure and ask about your guide's celebrity list!!

For those of you that have been on KTTK tour, I know there is no photography in the backstage areas but are we still allowed to bring our cameras with us during the tour? We intend to stay in the park after the tour and needed to know if we needed to get a locker for the cameras.

Yes, you'll need a locker. It's actually refreshing NOT to have anything to carry around but a water bottle!
