DH and I will be taking the Backstage Magic tour on our trip in May. I can't seem to find the particulars about making reservations. I know the cost, but most tour books, including the passporter, just say "reserve well in advance." How far in advance can I call? Do I need to pay in full, pay a deposit, or just reserve on credit card?

It does get chearged to your credit card right away. You can call 407-WDW TOUR. Although they say reserve welll in advance, if you don't want to layout all the money now and have a little flexibility, you can wait. I did the tour in July and reserved it in April. We ended up being 7 out of a possible 18 people.

Thanks for the quick reply and the link!
InstImpres - I've been to several conferences held at the Parsippany Hilton. We're practically neighbors. :)

We loved this tour when we did it last October. The only complaint we had was that it was Monday and booked solid. Four people who had made reservations for Tuesday but thought they had it for Monday came and were fairly ugly about it even though it was their mistake. The CMs were nice and let them join our group. One of the group was extremely large and had to have a scooter so they had to get a bigger bus to accomodate all this. It was nice of the CMS but a little unfair to the rest of us, I thought. It certainly didn't take away from the tour, however. We got to see and experience some great things at all the parks. I highly recommend it, but I was told Mondays are the busiest days for the tour.

I must add that I did this tour, and many others, and they are really great. Doing my ninth in December.

I did the tour last December and it was great. You do pay in full in advance on your credit card. My tour was on a Friday and it was full.

Even though they have your name on a list, be sure to bring a photo ID or they will not let you in. Some people had to rush back to their hotel rooms, get them, and join the tour a little later.

Have done this tour twice and it's worth every penny you pay in my opinion.

My husband and I did this tour and thought that is was extremely informative and we had a great time. Lunch at Mama Melrose's
was great, the food was really good. We highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of taking this tour. :)

I'm glad that you told me about the photo i.d.!! My NJ driver's license does not have my photo. I will have my passport for airport security, but I'm sure I would not have brought it to the parks that day!

My husband and I did the backstage tour in Dec 1999. It was fantastic! As a matter of fact, I've booked the tour again when I go in a copule of weeks. This time my brother is going with us. I can't hardly wait.
