I am trying to book a Backstage Magic Tour right now... been on Hold FOREVER .... and I have a quick question...after the tour, can you remain in the park? Not sure where the tour ends, but was hoping I can stay in the park after the tour without a day off my ticket. Anyone know?

Yes i know and no you can't...

You can go into the parks after the tour or even stay in the last park (if the last stop is in a park) but it wil cost you a day because they need your tickets and scan them....

So it's not possible to stay without using a day on your tickets.

Thanks Yvet! .... Bummer. It seems the tour ends in Epcot, so I was thinking I could hang out, have dinner and watch Illuminations. Hate to use a day off my ticket though for 4 hours. Tour ends at 5pm, Epcot closes at 9pm.

I finally gave up being on hold and will try calling back tomorrow to book my tour. I'm also hoping they are still giving a AAA discount. :)

I believe they still give the discount for AAA members, but you have to ask for the discount they don't ask you if you are a AAA member.

When we did the tour it did indeed end at Epcot....but outside the actual entrance. Not sure if that has changed. Great tour though....highly recommended.

The bus brought us back to the parking lot at Epcot. If you wanted to go back to the parks you would need to use a ticket.

Thanks, I'm really excited. I've been wanting to do this tour for a long time now. This will be my first solo trip, so I am splurging on the tour. :woohoo:

I would also want to know about this, thanks for the info coming here.

Have a nice day. :)

Something tells me that this particular rule can be circumvented regarding staying in the park. Back in December I took the Yuletide tour and due to my schedule being really tight and the tour taking longer then it was advertised to do so, I was going to get off the tour at the grand floridian and take the Monorail over to MK to do last minute shopping and photographing for book i am researching, the tour guide cast member told me to wait till they get to MK and I can get off the tour then. I didn't go through the normal entrance either.

My suggestion is to just play it by ear. If i am not mistaken the BSMT ends at Epcot where you begin so it maybe a bit difficult try to stay in a park.

I did the tour in October. You have the option to stay in the Magic Kingdom after the 3:00 Parade which is the last thing on the tour, but they still will scan your ticket,, or you can ride back to Epcot and the tour finishes at 4:00 p.m. in the Bus Terminal Parking lot.

On the podcast, they were talking about the tour and the fact that they did not tour the Christmas warehouse. I was told in October, that from October 1 - end of January/early February, they do not tour the Christmas warehouse on the Backstage Magic tour, as the warehouse is empty, thus there is nothing to see there. In October, they begin loading Semi Trucks with the decorations to stage out to the various locations on property and the cruise ships, then in January/Feb they are unloading those trucks back into the warehouse. I was disappointed that this area was not on my tour, as it was one of the area's I really wanted to see.

They told us they don't repeat anything on a tour. Since the Yule tour covers the warehouse they don't do it on the Backstage Magic.

You don't do the Christmas warehouse on Backstage Magic? I could swear I read a couple reviews (one of them Kevin's I think) that said they did go to the Christmas warehouse? I'll be doing the tour in early May, I hope that warehouse is part of my tour!

It's too bad they don't let you stay at Epcot if you would like. I hate to use a whole day for a few hours. None of the parks are open past 9pm the day I am doing the tour. Oh well.

I read Kevin's review before I took the tour. I think what they replace it with is great also. It gives me an excuse to take another tour.
