Backpacks???? Land's End or LL Bean

DS has been buying LLBean Backpack Deluxe for his schoolwork for 8 years now since middle school. He's in college now and still uses the 3 he has accumulated over the years. I put them in the wash every once in a while.
His zipper broke on the first one and I called LLBean, they had me send it back and they fixed the zipper no charge and no shipping charge either, great customer service!

I have no experience with the two brands you posted about - but I can give Jansport backpacks a 5-star (*****) rating!

My sister bought her kids backpacks from LL Bean 5 years ago and they are still using them. Wish sneakers would last that long.

I'd suggest the LL Bean as well. I got mine the summer before 7th grade (7 years ago) and would still be using it if a bottle of lotion hadn't burst in it on my way to NYC in February.

Well, I called Land's End about dd's backpack (thank you for the advice )and the lady was able to look up my order and it was 7/04 when I ordered it, so I think I'm going to send it back. The seam is coming apart at the top of the shoulder straps and I know dd did not do anything to it.
