Backpacks at DL

So long as they have straps, then yes, they are allowed. You can't roll them through the park, even if they have wheels.

Backpacks are allowed -- Tons of people had them when we were there in January. I carry one to put the camera in on rides, plus a few snacks, autograph books, extra camera cards, etc.
They inspect all bags before you enter the park but never said anything about our stuff (snacks, etc).

That is better than looking like an ugly american (avoid: fannypacks and being whiny)

ron808 -- funny you mention fannypacks...not very long ago on the Disney Tips board there was a large thread about fannypacks. I just can't do it...even at Disney! (Many people stated they aren't normally fannypack people but they use them at Disney!) My backpack has been to WDW, Panama Canal Cruise, Caribbean Cruise and now DL!

And I'm sure labguides wouldn't want to carry baby food in a fanny pack....fanny pack + baby food + ToT (or Screamin or Space Mountain) = MESS!

You will have to take whatever bags you're carrying (backpacks, shopping bags etc...) on the rides with you or leave them in a locker.

You are so right WatchinCaptKangaroo -- and as the Mom in the group I somehow ended up with all the bags plus my backpack. I have a smaller backpack and never had a problem with it. It fit in the space on all the rides even Screamin') The problem is the bags/purchases/pictures that didn't fit as well! But even on Screamin' & Space Mountain I was able to hold them down near the floor without losing a single thing!

I've posted atleast three times there. But I can't sympathize with some of the people there. Debating there is pointless as it's a matter of taste and practicality.

So, you can't leave your little goodie bags out with the CM while you take your ride eh?

Nope, they are not going to be responsible for your bags while you ride. Take em with you or get a locker.
