How is it??

I am planning to do a half day Star Wars day for my husband in HS... Launch Bay, Star Tours, the March, the Galaxy Far Far Away show, Chewbacca.. blah blah blah.. ANYWAYS.. I was trying to figure out somewhere to eat to fit the theme.. and i see Backlot Express has Star Wars themed food.. Darth Vader waffles... cupcakes.. etc.. can anyone give any reviews???
We have a limited time frame so I dont want to do a TS if we dont have to.

We always end up there once a trip. There is plenty of seating and it’s a good place to get my once-a-trip disney chicken nuggets. The food is basic quick service, nothing special but always hits the spot.

Yeah, it's nothing special but you could do worse. If you are wanting burgers, it's good, and is usually quicker than the places on Sunset. They have a large seating area too, so that's nice.

Darkside Chicken And Waffles HMMM, its a very good CS in Hollywood and it has something to many of Hollywoods CS do not have AIR CONDITIONING. Its nicely themed as well. And the Darth Vader Chocolate Peanutbutter Cupcake is worth the trip by itself.

We used to go there every year but they changed the menu and now there is mostly fried food and burgers. I would look at your menu options before committing.

We switched to the ABC commissary this year and enjoyed it.

Backlot... is good ol' backlot. lol It's one of our weird traditions to eat there every now and again. I like the different seating areas, and the food is tolerable.

Haven't tried Woody Lunchbox yet, so can't compare. Outside of that one maybe, it is our favorite QS place in HS. Plenty of inside seating. A nice fixing bar and what you would expect for food at a QS.
Nothing fancy, but the food has been good.

Um, I guess to have post a contrarian point of view since this is without a doubt the worst quick-service I have had in the parks, and most definitely the worst burgers I have ever had...like, maybe ever? Dry like a hockey puck, just awful. I don't think Disney makes good burgers in their quick-service eateries at all, to be honest, but these are particularly bad.

That being said, I do enjoy the location for it's ambiance.

It's fine, no QS in DHS is terribly exciting. It's the only QS at DHS we ate at last trip (9 days... we avoid eating in DHS when possible because there are much better options elsewhere) because it had something for everyone in our party.

Used to be our go to for burgers, actually our favorite QS there, but last meal (April) the burgers were not good. It will be the only place you can continue your SW theme. The only plus is the drink refills at this point.

We tried to eat there last trip (July), had even made a mobile order (not burgers). Decided to not press "here" until I could see table availability. PACKED. No tables anywhere. I cancelled my order. So if you can eat off times that would probably work out better.

Food aside, the Backstory is themed as well as any Restaurant/attraction/shop at WDW IMHO.:)

The food is better than average which may not sound like a rave but I wouldn't hesitate to go there for a basic lunch. Theming is great and really makes this an underrated qs spot.

I liked it. There is a lot of room to select places to sit and eat or relax. The burger was good and I thought the staff was friendly too. Most of the CS choices at dhs are garbage. I do happen to like this one thou.
