Background Check and CP

Okay so i posted a few months ago about my cousin applying even though she had a minor misdemeanor on her record. So she applied and passed the web interview and had her phone interview. So when they asked her about her criminal history on the phone she explained the situation and how it was expunged and everything and the interviewer said it was great the she was honest about it bcs alot of people lie to cover it up. She also told maggie that there would be some paperwork sent to her to just verify everything and do an early background check. My question for you all is does she still have a real shot at getting in with a misdemeanor on her record? do you know of anyone who has gotten in in these types of situations. She is really nervous that she has NO shot...

I want to start off by saying I have no facts to ground any of the following statements in, its all my gut feelings. I would say not to give up hope. I figure if she had no chance they would have just let her go then and not even bothered to send paperwork. I also agree that being honest is the best policy and good for her for being up front with Disney. I will send good juju her way.

I know somebody who was in the same boat: Misdemeanor on their record. They were also nervous about the additional paperwork but he did get accepted.

I hope she is a bit relieved. Tell her to hang in there!

the fact that they are sending her additional paperwork to complete a background check now indicates that she is being considered for a position. if not, they wouldn't waste the time or money to do the check.

she will be pended until they get the paperwork back from whereever they send it off to. the results of the check will be an initial determination if she is accepted or not (they'll also review her interview too).

Okay so I got a call from my cousin today! I told her she needs to join disboards so i don't have to keep asking things for her lol

Anyway- she got an email with paperwork from Disney which she thought was going to be something about her record but instead they sent her an email saying she is like a restrict rehire or something asking about her past employment and past roles when working at Disney and why she was terminated.....buuttttt she has never worked there or even applied before this.

So question is- is that the wrong paperwork for her situation or is it the right paperwork and just has to be filled out to begin her background check? I hope I am understanding her story right but that's what I got from our conversation.

That's really strange...have her call them and tell them she's never worked for them before and that happened...

I mean, they were all minor things but.... there was a list!

So no need to worry...if she doesn't end up making it..don't necessarily count on this as being the only reason.
