We got back yesterday from 3 three nights at the hotel Cheyenne and loved it. As is the fashion here are our highs and lows:
Highs:
I didn't think I would love it so much! Thought Disneyland parc was really beautiful especially Fantasyland and Adventureland. In many ways I even preferred these parts of the park to WDW.
Loved the design of the buildings in Fantasyland, and thought the castle was amazing. I loved how accesible it is for everyone (even though we couldn't go up it due to refurbs). You shouldn't have to eat at the castle to go up it and I think it's been much better done than at WDW.
The Cheyenne was great and a lot better than what we were expecting. The rooms need a bit of updating but are still comfortable and the actual hotel itself was great. Enjoyed the breakfast, loads of choice and horay for pan au chocs!
Cafe Mickey breakfast! The characters were very interactive and all made sure they stopped at our table. A cast member came and took me and my bfs photo together with Pluto. Mickey kind of rushed round everyone though.
It was really, really cold but not unbearable with the right clothes on. It was a good excuse to drink a silly amount of hot chocolate.
There's loads more but I'll put it all in a trip report.
Lows:
The top of the castle being closed
Bit anoying but something to save for next time.
The tents in front of the castle, ruined the view! But again it just made me want to go back again.
Rainforest cafe. Extremely expensive and the food was far from great.
Saturday! So busy, and we never saw anyone smoking apart from on Sat when there were loads of smokers and a few teenagers jumping queues. Would avoid in future.
All in all a fantastic trip and we'll definately be going back!
