Back to Where It Began - 10th Anniversary Trip Report-Dec 2007 - Pics Added 4/7

I'm getting so excited for you!!! 2 days away:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

How much snow did you guys get up there? We had a little over 2 inches... enough to make it look like Christmas (it's actually really beautiful!) but not enough to delay school this morning.. bummer;)

Happy packing!!

Happy packing!!

We got about four inches, I'd say. HSE was delayed two hours this morning, which means my first grader will go to school and immediately go to lunch! How crazy is that! I probably need to shovel out the driveway at some point today, but I'm not planning on going anywhere until piano lessons at 4:30. I've got packing and decorating and cleaning to do!

I agree though, it does look like Christmas out there! Of course, I'm also looking forward to seeing the snow on Main Street and having it still be in the 70s outside!

:rainbow: Happy 10th Anniversary! :rainbow:

Have a wonderful :cloud9: amazing :yay: , romantic  time in WDW! I hope you are feeling better, Jodi! Don't worry, I always get sick before we go to WDW, it never fails! :sad2: BUT, once we get there I feel great! (It must be all that Pixie Dust pixiedust: floating around!) Take lots of pictures!!!

Oh, and for the record, since we have so many Hoosiers over here, I went to Merrillville HS. We're in Valpo now. I'm just as young as you guys! :cool2:

Have a great time! :goodvibes

Thanks, Michelle. We've actually had another wrench thrown into the works. Our three year old is sick and causing us some angst as to whether we should cancel the trip. :sad1: So, we could use a little pixie dust and some prayer too!

Don't cancel your trip! Take a breath and just take a step back from the situation so your mommy guilt goes away for a minute. I know what you are going through, and have been there myself!!! Unless your daughter is seriously sick enough that your in-laws can't handle it, go on your trip and have a good time. (They have raised their own kids, so I'm sure that they can take care of your girls.) Trust me. I know it's the hardest thing in the world to leave your little ones, especially when they are not feeling well, but this is an important trip for you and Eric! You are only going to have one 10th Anniversary - this is one of many colds that your daughter will have. Soooo, please don't panic and cancel unless you absolutely have to. I'm sending hugs and good wishes your way!!! :grouphug:

Take care,
Michelle

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Michelle. Unfortunately, it is a little worse than a common cold, but she does seem to be better today than yesterday. I'm trying to stay positive. I'm cleaning the house, making my grocery list and continuing to do laundry. The little sweetheart told me just a few minutes ago that she's okay and that she'll be okay with her grandma. What a sweetie! So, I'm hopeful that all will go as planned! Thanks for the hugs and good wishes!

Jodi

OK. Well, we are definitely going to go ahead with the trip! :cool1: Our DD seems to be better and we figure that Eric's parents can handle it. If not, they can call my mom and she'll come down early and take over. Either way, I need a break and Mickey is calling my name!

So, we are about 11 hours out from having to leave for the airport. I'm still doing laundry :laundy: and Eric is at the grocery right now buying things for his parents to feed the girls while we're gone.

I've got one more room to clean and laundry to fold, so I'd better get to it. Be back later!

Jodi

Well, we leave for the airport in about 1 1/2 hours! And it snowed last night! My DD6 has a two hour school delay. So, now we won't be putting her on the bus. We'll have to trust Grandpa to do it.

I've got the last load of laundry in the dryer, just fluffing it up. Got a few more things to pack and then we'll be off.

I'll try to post some from WDW, but our itinerary is such that I'm sure we'll get back to the room and promptly fall over asleep! But if I find some time, I'll give some updates!

Thanks for reading and here we go.....

Jodi

Have fun and Happy Anniversary!

Why are you still doing laundry? Get your butt to the airport!

Joining in on the fun! You are at WDW now- how fun. Can't wait to read your report when you return.... and pixie dust that the girls got healthy and nobody else got sick.

Hi All! Well, we made it! We're here! Just got back to the hotel from a morning of riding roller coasters. Eric had his train tour this morning, so I went to MGM at 8am and rode Rock-n-Roller Coaster twice in a row, hopped the bus to MK and rode both Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain twice in a row each. All of that before 10:30 am! Crowds are low, obviously. We stayed out late last night, so we're going to take a break before heading back to Epcot for dinner at LeCellier and the Candlelight Processional with Steven Curtis Chapman, one of my favorite Christian artists! I can hardly wait!

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know we're here and having a great time.

Thanks for reading!!!

Jodi

LOL!! You started this in June? :rotfl2: Not excited or anything were you? :yay:

OKW is some people's first choice. We love it there! I try to get it at the 7 month window. We love the pool, the golf course views, and the proximity to Epcot (5 minutes).

Had fun meeting you guys today. I'll catch up with the rest of your report now. I only read the first page.

I still can't believe you started in June! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ahhh... now I get it. I'm a little slow. Actually, I just glanced at your button and didn't read it. I'm a touch ADD. :confused3

YAY!! Live reports! I LOVE 'em!!:cool1: If I can't be there, it makes me happy to know someone can be...

I will get to spend some "by myself" time on our trip, too! Riding RNRC as many times as I can is definitely on my list!

HAVE FUN!!:yay:

I didn't ask. I did find out he's not a fan of Roller Coasters. What kind of man is that!!???!!

Oh, I almost forgot... Jodi made fun of my butt-pack I was wearing also. Those Indy people are just plain mean. :sad2:

Hey! That wasn't very nice! You can't see the fanny pack in the pictures because it's black and blends in with the stretchy shorts! After reading about ZZUB's adventures with fanny packs, I have to laugh every time I see one.

Actually, we had a great time talking and taking pics. Made some plans to meet up with the kids again in October when we're both at OKW. Maybe MB and LG will convince my DD to ride the big coasters with me.

It's true that Eric doesn't like coasters, but he did ride Test Track and Splash Mountain with me this trip. It was a big step for him. After riding each one once, he said that was enough. This morning, he went through the line at Everest with me, but walked out the exit when I boarded the train. That ride is totally AWESOME! I rode it twice during EMH and had a FP to do it again later, but we had to leave the park early. I'll explain why later in the trippy when we get to day #4.

Gotta tell you guys that the coolest thing today was seeing Steven Curtis Chapman narrate the Candlelight Processional. It was just awesome to know that the person reading the story believes what's he's saying! And, he sang along with the choir as well. It was like seeing him in concert without having to pay for it!

Anyway, we head home tomorrow. Gotta get back to the kiddos and life in general. Luckily I have all my Christmas shopping done. Just gotta get the tree up this week. I wanted to have that done before we left, but with the sicknesses running rampant in my house last week, that just didn't get done.

We'll start this trippie for real later this week once life returns to normal. I'm planning on doing a dining report as well.

Thanks for reading!
Jodi

Who? :confused3

I saw Steven Tyler at RRC... of course it was just a video of him... but still, cool! :thumbsup2

I see your thread was moved safely. I also see you have your very own "stalker".
Enjoyed reading your pre-trip plans. Looking forward to the rest of your TR.
