Back to back Cruisin' with Peg Leg Mel & Eric the Rum Runner Oct 23-30,11 COMPLETED!!

I had no idea you could see the fireworks back there, we could have watched from our balcony the first cruise:confused3

Boy you were living large on your cruise! You got to get your hair done and go to Palo for dinner! I am a little jealous over here. :rotfl:
I know & :woohoo: a massage on CC coming up!

I had no idea you could see the fireworks back there, we could have watched from our balcony the first cruise:confused3
I wouldn't have thought you could either, but that was a really nice view & they were so close.

Boy! I am behind. Seeing your report is bringing back memories of our cruise! We ended up eating lunch at Enchanted Garden our first afternoon on the ship. I really liked the buffet. Dinner at Royal Palace wasn't my favorite. I usually like French onion soup and I wasn't a fan of that one. But I loved the bars. Skyline was awesome and Pink was fun! I didn't get to try any of the drink though. So I will have to go another cruise in the future to try the pink champagne. Villains Tonight was my favorite show out of all of them! Can't wait to read more!

Weren't you going to do a trip report? I was looking forward to adding comments along with yours - that way I don't have to do a report of my own. :lmao:

I must agree, though. Chris and I really enjoyed spending time in Skyline and Pink. The atmosphere was great (and the company was pretty awesome, too.)

I was going to be, but I just got lazy! :rotfl2: Did you hear about the Skyline bar on the Fantasy? I can't wait!

Yes!!! I can't wait either. Unfortunately I have longer to wait than you. The carousel bar looks pretty awesome, too. I think Chris is looking forward to the pub-themed bar.

Thanks Dan! That's why we booked b2b so we could explore & even with my foot I think we did a pretty good job.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Disney cruise friends!
Happy Thanksgiving Beth!!!!!!!!! Hope you had a great day! I worked & I'm working today too!

I hope to finish this up early next week so be on the lookout for the final installments.

Really need to finish this up....something called getting back to work has gotten in my way. Promise to finish up early this week. :cool1:

Once again, I woke up early & peeked outside to see if we were there yet & we weren't so I went back to bed. Soon though, I was feeling the vibrations of us moving so I knew we were pulling in to Castaway Cay.
IMG_2166.jpg

I love this zoomed in picture......
IMG_2168.jpg

Here is what was happening in the cabin as I was watching us pull in.
IMG_2175.jpg

Once Eric decided to join the living & get up, we decided to go grab some stuff from Cabanas & head to the Quiet Cove for a coffee before we headed off the ship.
IMG_2176.jpg

They have a lot of great pictures of Walt in there.

IMG_2189.jpg

On the way back to the room, guess who we saw on the huge TV?
IMG_2193.jpg

If I wasn't anxious to get out to the beach, I would have plopped right down & watched.
We changed & were soon headed off the ship.
IMG_2197.jpg

IMG_2199.jpg

Donald Duck was at the Post Office so we stopped for a photo.
IMG_2205.jpg

Stitch came out after DD left.

What happened next was this......
PTDC0041.jpg

I headed out to snorkel at the Family Beach while Eric found a chair & just relaxed.
PTDC0044.jpg

From in the water.
PTDC0046.jpg

Feesh.......

PTDC0094.jpg

PTDC0113.jpg

I snorkeled for a good long time.....the water was a little murky I guess because it was overcast, but I still had a good time & kicking my foot & having it in the water felt sooooo good. After I finished in the water, we headed to Serenity Bay. We had another lovely lunch.
IMG_2227.jpg

IMG_2229.jpg

IMG_2230.jpg

IMG_2231.jpg

IMG_2235.jpg

Then it was time for some relaxing....
IMG_2236.jpg

IMG_2237.jpg

I went out & snorkeled around in SB...it was alot clearer but there wasn't as much to look at.
PTDC0116.jpg

PTDC0126.jpg

Then I did some floating..........didn't even need a floatie & as you can see the clouds from earlier had burned off & it was another beautiful day.
IMG_2241.jpg

Eric didn't get in the water but he was still enjoying relaxing
IMG_2250.jpg

Soon it was time for our couples massage which I had been waiting for the whole cruise.
IMG_2261.jpg

IMG_2263.jpg

IMG_2265.jpg

We had Arlane & Wilma to do our massages & they were wonderful. It was so nice in there with all the shutters opened up so you could feel the breeze. It was peaceful & heavenly. Towards the end, I felt a hand in mine & it took me a minute to realize that they had put our hands together & that it was Eric's hand I was holding. LOL! The experience was wonderful & worth every penny. They told us about our problem areas & encouraged us to use massage on each other at home. We did end up buying 2 products to use at home.
After that lovely experience, we went to wait on the tram.
IMG_2267.jpg

We wanted to head over to the Heads UP Bar & have a drink.

IMG_2276.jpg

While I was walking around taking pictures, I started chatting with a lovely fellow named Dusty who just happens to be an Adventures by Disney guide. We had a great time talking & he told me to go watch the ABD channel in the room & sure enough I did later & he was on the commercial. He took these pictures for us.
IMG_2282.jpg

IMG_2283.jpg

We checked out the Pelican Plunge area which looked like a ton of fun.
IMG_2284.jpg

IMG_2285.jpg

IMG_2286.jpg

We then started to head back towards the ship stopping to get a few things at the shop along the way & of course take more photos.
IMG_2293.jpg

IMG_2294.jpg

IMG_2295.jpg

IMG_2296.jpg

Once back on the ship, it was time for the early afternoon Til We Meet Again, so we stopped & watched that.
IMG_2310.jpg

IMG_2311.jpg

This is a like a goodbye from all the characters & they do it during the afternoon & evening of the last day. They do a meet & greet so that if you haven't had time to get photos you can use this an your last chance.
Isn't this Minnie mouse with Minnie cute?
IMG_2321.jpg

All the crew....
IMG_2323.jpg

A little video of the show.

Then we went back to the room to watch us sail away from CC. Here's a little video of that.

We spent some time on the verandah just chatting & soaking up the atmosphere before starting to do the dreaded packing of the stuff before getting ready for dinner.
We headed to Skyline to have one last drink with Alenka.
Eric had a Manhattan & I had an Ooo La La.
IMG_2342.jpg

On the way to dinner, we saw Minnie in all her finery.
IMG_2345-1.jpg

Our last dinner was in Royal Palace.
IMG_2346.jpg

Beautiful portraits of the Princesses line the walls.

For appetizers, I had the Pomegranate Glazed Duck Breast with Gerwurztraminer Gelee.
IMG_2356.jpg

Eric had the Escargots Gratines - herb-marinated snails with finely chopped mushrooms, topped with garlic butter and breadstick.
IMG_2357.jpg

For the soup course, I had The Comtesse du Barry's Soup - rich velvety cauliflower cream, topped with salmon caviar croutons . It was so creamy & good.
IMG_2358.jpg

For the entrees, I had the Baked Farm-Raised Organic Chicken Breast filled with escarole, raisins, and pine nuts on wild rice witha red wine reduction. This was very different & good.
IMG_2359.jpg

Eric had the Roasted Wild Boar Tenderloin - sweet carrot and onion potato cake with a red currant reduction & he really loved it.
IMG_2360.jpg

For dessert, Eric had the peanut butter mousse again & I just wanted a Mickey bar.
IMG_2361.jpg

Me with our wonderful server Chris & our head server Ali.
IMG_2366.jpg

We said our goodbyes to our table mates as we were not going to come to breakfast the next morning & to our lovely wait staff before heading back to the room to put our dinner clothes in our suitcases so we could put them out to be collected. We changed & went up to the Meridian Bar to say goodbye to Abie who made us a lovely chocolate martini.
IMG_2373.jpg

Our final towel creature....
IMG_2371.jpg

We went to bed & slept soundly on our last evening aboard the Dream. We had stashed some cereal, milk & bananas for our breakfast the next morning so we could just take our time & get off at our leisure.

Up next....Our final day :sad2:

We had another lovely lunch.
IMG_2227.jpg
you would thinkthey could at least give you guys new bread sticks instead of ones from the last cruise ship. ;)

We were so lucky to have 2 beautiful & relaxing days on CC this time. The last day of the cruise was bitter sweet for sure. I don't know when we will be cruising again so that made me sad too! I admit I shed a few tears at the Til We Meet Again.

Melanie, thanks for posting more, I was missing you.
Hi Beth . I'm glad you're still with me. I am going to finish this up right now. Tom sent me the list of your cruises & I'm not sure any of them will work this year, but I really want to cruise with you guys again so keep me updated!

We got up & ate our cereal & stuff in the room. It wasn't long before we were heading off the ship, cleared customs quickly & were outside the terminal waiting for our pick up from Tiffany Towncar.
IMG_2377.jpg

Close up of the clock--it was really 8:30 not sure why the clock says 7:30.
IMG_2378-1.jpg

Close up of terminal detail artwork.
IMG_2376.jpg

Our driver was there soon & we were on our way to WDW. It really is a pretty quick trip & soon we were passing through the gates.
IMG_2380.jpg

We saw some Halloween decorations as we headed under the Magic Kingdom gates heading towards our destination.
IMG_2382.jpg

We were staying that one night at Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary.
IMG_2383.jpg

Our driver dropped us off & we were escorted in & soon checked in. Our room wasn't ready but they took our cell number & would text us when it was. Well, by the time we went to the bathrooms etc. Eric had gotten a text, so we headed over to our room. I had booked a standard view. Not sure if me being a gimp had anything to do with it, but we got a MK view! Score!

IMG_2386.jpg

We hung out in the room a little while, then decided to head to Downton Disney to eat some lunch.
IMG_2396.jpg

We headed to Earl of Sandwich which is one of our favorites. We split our sandwiches & had a The Full Montagu - roast beef and turkey with sharp cheddar ceese and aged Swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, roma tomato and Earl's mustard sauce & an The Earl's Club - roast turkey, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce and roma tomato and sandwich sauce. Delicious as always.
IMG_2394.jpg

We browsed through some shops.....
IMG_2398.jpg

IMG_2401.jpg

And had a Fall picture made.
IMG_2399.jpg

Our final stop was Ghiradelli's for an ice cream sundae.
IMG_2400.jpg

It was a lovely afternoon.....here's our loot purchased on the ship & at DTD.
Ship shopping.
IMG_2510.jpg

DTD shopping....loved the 40th anniversary merchandise & Disney socks from MisMatched.
IMG_2511.jpg

We headed back to Bay Lake Towers.
IMG_2402.jpg

Loved this art in the lobby area.
IMG_2403.jpg

We were kinda wiped from our early morning getting off the ship so we took a nice long nap in the room.

Next up........Our only ride & Dinner at the Poly
