I'm thinking of doing a back to back cruise on the Adventure out of Singapore. I've never done B2B before and have no idea how they work. Do I get the same room? Do I need to take my luggage off with us? Please explain it like I'm stupid LOL
Disney Cruise Line does ask you to get off the ship by just before 10am in accordance with local authorities. You do have to get off the ship, and you still have to clear customs, but back to back passengers get redirected to a special counter afterwards for ID and documentation verifying.
You will get to go back on the ship among the first guests. You will only need to pack if Disney moves your stateroom, but you won’t need to take all luggage out-just take a small bag with your essentials.
Light snacks are offered in most cases in some lounges once you’re back on board should you get the hungries, and you’ll be first to the buffet once it opens if you wish. Note that some other amenities like pools may not be ready until very early afternoon.
DCL sends a letter to your cabin telling you where to meet on debarkation day. We just did a B2B on the Magic and met at the pub at 9:30. The group walked off together, thru customs and back into the terminal. We all had to check in again and then waited to get back on the ship. We were in the terminal around an hour.
Once onboard, Cove Cafe had snacks and a free coffee. We were not able to get into our new cabin until 1:30, but our original cabin steward took our luggage to our new cabin.
You do get to keep the same cabin "IF" you booked it for both cruises and if not as was mentioned DCL will move your luggage to your new cabin. The $64,000 question is how does customs work in Singapore? Everything mentioned above is based on what happens in the States.
