I'm planning on bringing a back pack to the park with me. Is there a maximum on the size of a back pack that's allowed in the parks?

Nope, no size limits. It will be searched by security as you enter each park.

Don't think so.....just make sure that it is not too big that you can't keep it with you at your feet on all the rides.

I actually brought a large suitcase into the park one time which theoretically should be above the size limit. However, this was before the security was "beefed up" and I was also a cast member at the time (which may or may not have affected their decision to let me in with it).

Okay, I have to ask what all you brought in your large suitcase. I'm very interested in this.:flower:

It's not that exciting :) I was checking into a hotel that evening and had to enter the park from the guest entrance that day before a shift, so I ended up having a suitcase. Luckily I was able to leave it in my break room before trying to go on rides! haha

Darn. I was envisioning you opening up your suitcase laying out a blanket, maybe some candle sticks, a whole chicken dinner complete with sides, and having a grand picnic. ;)

I've seen all sized of back packs in the parks. We always take an average size LL Bean backpack in with us.

I think if you tried to bring in a big hiking back pack with a metal frame like you were forging your way along the Adirondack trail, they might not allow THAT, but if you mean a regular backpack like what most college kids carry their books in...yes, those are allowed for sure.
