Just a few comments:

1. We thought it was crowded - many from NJ, South America and Europe. Usually on our trips we can get 5-6 rides on our favorites - TOT and RNR - not this time - we used Fastpass to get on rides.

2. We made sure to hit all the new rides - Soaring, Everest, Lights-Motor-Acion, Nemo by way of fastpass early in the trip- then revisited old favorites.

3. They should give out absentee ballots at NJ schools - most of the people I asked - said the blew off the election - what a shame that it wasn't used as a civics lesson for kids to show them a ballot and their parents making an effort. We sent in our absentee ballot and it made a big difference in VA.

4. No problem with DDE except we ate too much.

5. WL looks great inspite of some scafolding. We were upgraded to courtyard king, no tub - 1159. The new furniture is great - no knee-knocking, shin-bruising posts hidden under the spread. Mattress was very comfortable.

6. Buses were OK. The boats were sometimes overwhelmed, and we had to insist that one night the boat from Cont go to Lodge first as promised. It is clear that when HDD lets out and people are trying to get to MK for fireworks that there are just not enough boats.

7. Took a bus to Saratoga to check it out AND ride boat to DD - we thought it looked too much like a huge apartment complex - there was a lack of detailing on the outside of the buildings, no comparison to BC, BW or YC.

8. Crowds for F&W on the weekend were nuts, many locals. We returned Tues night and it was pleasant. Although it was fun, I'm not sure I would travel just for fest ...

9. Everest was great, try single rider line. I liked nemo, very cute. Soaring was OK but short with no transition between scenes. If you gave up on the lines at Soaring, it's oK. We saw Lights Motor Action twice, very good.

10. Weather was better than expected - sunny but windy. Only one thunderstorm.

11. Kids and parents were well behaved and pretty relaxed. Crocs are the shoes of choice on many many people. My Payless AirWalks did great.

Gotta go.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you had a great time despite the crowds. I thinking that early November would be a great time to go.

Did you get to experience any of the disney dreams or specials? Is the scafolding still in the middle courtyard?

Sounds like you had a great trip. I too wore my Air walks and thought it was going to be great. I have been wearing them all summer and spring, with never one single foot or back problem. After first day I got a big blister on my big toe. I was so disapppointed, I had been planning to cruise thru on them. Had to bandage up and switch to tennies for walking in the parks. Still wore them/ Air walk sandals around the resort tho.

I was grateful for the room upgarde but I would have loved to get a "dream" - we saw many people walking around with the special fast-pass lariat and I was so jealous. I smiled at every dream CM that I saw, but nothing ....

The xmas decorations are up at many locations so that was a nice surprise. Osborne lights were having sneak peeks but we didn't make it.

We splurged DDE on meals at Artist Point and Yachtsman Steakhouse - both meals were excellent and service superb.

Hi to the DIS member who saw us at AK - she saw the lime ribbon on the backpack my husband was wearing - sorry you lost your lime MIckey.

Shopping: The 2007 calendar has great park pictures.
Buy things when you see them as abot 10% of merchandise seems to be exclusive .... I saw a Tigger onesie at a store and didn't get it figuring I would see it again ..... wrong - I looked everywhere and finally last morning I had to search MGM for the shop that had them .... remember that with your receipt you can return an item to any Disney shop if you change your mind.

I can't say enough about how great the CMs are - we met many with years of experience with the company and they were so wonderful to us in every way, even when we were tired and cranky.

Generally there seemed to be fewer parent-child confrontations than past trips perhaps it is the cooler weather .... strollers are everywhere and we did wonder why some people needed the motor-chairs.
