Just got back from our first family trip to disney world with DS5.

I will do a trip report online and post the link when I have it done, but I thought everything was great.

We were able to get a lot of rides in early in the morning. With going early and the FastPass, we hardly waited more than 15-20 min for anything.

His favorite rides were; buzz lightyear's space ranger spin, space mountain and dinosaur.

His favorite restaurants were; sci-fi dine in, crystal palace (pooh and friends) and chef mickey's (mickey and friends)

We staid at the WL and used the magical express. If I can answer any questions I would be happy to, otherwise I will start working on my HTML trip report.

Thank you all for your great advice and information.

I will now start working on our 2008 trip.:scratchin

is the magical experss the transportation from the airport to the resorts? if so how did it work...any problems?

Yes, the magical express is the transportation to and from the airport.

Our plane was delayed about 4+ hours, but the disney transportation worked fine. Once we got out past security there was a gentelman holding a sign and wearing the big mickey mouse hands. He told us where to go, which I believe was the 1st floor A concorse.

There we checked in at the desk and went into the line for our resort. They show a little video that lasted about the length of our trip. We originally had dinner PS, but we totally missed out because it was so late. So we ordered room service. Just about the time we were going to hit the sack I was calling down to find out about our lugage (since we were going to bed) As I was on the phone it arrived.

We did miss our bus on the trip out because the pick up was past the main driveway to the resort. By the time we grabed our stuff and headed to the bus he was off. We then sat down by the sign and caught the next bus about 30 min later. Still had plenty of time to check in and get to our plane. They also show a video on the way to the airport.

Hope this helps.

Did you do any early EMH?

THANKS

Yes, we did a couple of morning EMH, no evening EMH. That worked great for us. One the MK EMH we rode Buzz 4-5 times in a row with no wait. We were literally running back onto the ride.

We did the park hopper, so we didn't necessarily stay in that park later that day. On July 4 we did space mountain and buzz with no wait, then fastpassed them. Rode the orbitor inbetween.

The only day the crowds seemed really huge was on July 4th. We started in MK ate at Chef Mickey and then went to Epcot. Left around 2 to get back to the resort for our ME.

This Magical Express thing has me worried... They say to bring whatever your family may need until your luggage arrives (ie swim attire etc) However, we are a family of 5! Ummm, that's alot of extra "carry on" stuff. when did the luggage arrive?

Hey there CoopersDad
:wave2: :wave2: Glad you had a great trip, we leave in 14 days.. Could you explain a little more about EMH's Is there a special place to go into the parks with EMH's or do you go in the regular lanes? Have never done EMH so don't understand the system.. :confused3

Our lugage got there sometime between 2-3 hours after we arrived. I had packed PJs, swim suits and toothbrushes/toothpaste for everyone (we were arriving in the evening) You are on the bus to your hotel soon after you get off the plane so I imagine your luggage hasn't even made it to the baggage claim yet.

For EMH morning you just go through the regular lanes. For the EMH evening there are spots set up around the park toward closing time where they give you a wristband to ride the rides for evening EMH. I did get a wristband one night, but I didn't actually stay for the evening EMH.

Cool news about no waits in the early a.m.! Running back on to the ride, not waiting more than 15-20 minutes . . . now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! We are going in less than 3 weeks, we WILL get up early so we can do this too! Great news!
