Oh no....
I know that feeling....I am sorry that you had gotten upsdet, but alo glad Hatter noticed and everything was put right quickly...so sweet of Rabbit to come to your rescueYou day at Epcot is shaping up to be a good one! Glad the KPM turned out well for you and splitting up during the missions actually sounded like a sweet idea to give the kids a chance to be in charge....may have to ty that next yr!
I am looking forward to more!
Hey Julie,
I did turn out to be a good day-kind of like the rainbow after the rain......Hatter is really a great guy-he's just stubborn...and he passed that on to his daughter...
Rabbit is really sweet that way-he is almost always sympathetic and wants to make people feel better...(it's just hard for him to always be empathetic cause he can't always get inside someone else's view point so he isn't always sure what to do...even when he wants to but he was just so spot on this time......I know preaching to the choir right...
I'm such a geek-I really could have several more missions...
Oh my gosh....that is good! Em is such a beauty...like her Mama, right
J-
Oh and thanks for the BLOG shout-out...
Awww...you know how to make a girl feel good...(especially one starting her diet/fitness program tomorrow...tomorrow only because I have tons of brisket and mashed potatoes and desserts we have to finish off for dinner from holiday dinner with my inlaws this weekend...otherwise I'd have started today
)
You are quite welcome for the shout out. I was over there and left a post-I hope it took (I have special needs in the area of technology...-you've created some very, very nice Disney stuff...well done you!
Well that explains it.
IAnthropolgie. I have to avoid it or it is DANGEROUS. Fortunately it isn't nearby. Which annoys me. But is a good thing. I allow myself 2 trips per year.
I like UO as well though won't let myself go in there...too old. But I really should look there for Kendall, hadn't really thought about it as an option and I don't think she's gone there on her own. I'm less than thrilled with a couple of the stores she really likes these days although to be fair the stuff she picks is ok. So far.

I have 3 Anthropologies within 10-15 miles of me...they are headquartered out of Phila...the guy who started the company went to U of P...very dangerous that...They can have very good sales also...![]()
Not to hijack but the thing I love about John Adams best is that Marc isn't that into History, he indulges but he genuinely loved the mini series. We are planning a trip to John Adams' farm next summer, it's really close to us. I can't wait to hear how you like the rest of the episodes!
Awww...Sorry you were brought to tears....but what a sweetie Rabbit is! Sounds like he can instantly make you feel better.
I love the photos & I totally agree about Morocco.
First-feel free to "hijack" my thread anytime to talk about history-I love it......Secondly...it isn't really hijacking...We were just near the America pavilion in Epcot...and what could be more American than our second president, John Adams...
I can see where a non history person would love that series-from what I can see so far-its just a really well told story-and the characters are really compelling...(it also isn't at all sappy-some history dramas gravitate towards a sort of sappiness...)I have to confess I didn't know as much about Adams as say Washington or Jefferson...and now to me -he's every bit the hero that they are/were...I love how he took the case for those British soldiers at the beginning not because he was a loyalist but because he truly felt they were being unfairly treated...I also love his relationship with Abigail and his children...it was really hard for him to leave them to go to Philadelphia...and it shows his good and bad qualities...(just a little arrogant and hotheaded sometimes...but truly a decent, ethical, smart man...
Ooo...you're going to his farm??? That's pretty cool-I'd like to go there myself someday...in the show-the showed it being relatively close to Boston...Abigail could see the shelling and fires from the farm...is it close to Boston?

Rabbit looks at me and then sternly back at them and says "that was very bad of you to make mommy cry-you shouldn't fight...-Mommy-I told them to be good-you can be happy again-"
Bravo-the 7 year old gets it...he's my buddy-I'm riding TT with him...
At the end of 5 minutes...the CM presented Emily with a card Congratulating our family (her) for being the special "Family" (she) that learned Chinese...
Rabbit should have gotten one for sheer effort...
A SHORT INTERMISSION AND A BRIEF ROMANTIC INTERLUDE...
Anyone who read my pretrip report is aware that there was a bit of ongoing tension between several of our traveling companions...
French Minnie had come home from Worldshowcase with Alice several years ago... she is chic, sophisticated and a tad reserved.
Jedi Mickey came to live with Rabbit recently on his 7th Birthday. JM is fearless, fun and slightly arrogant.
Upon first meeting, it seemed that they absolutely despised each other and the fact that they would both be traveling to WDW with us just seemed to make the situation worse.

They were kept separate and traveled in different suitcases and upon unpacking at the AKL-I made certain sure that they were on separate sides of the room-JM closer to the balcony and the animals in case he felt the need for a little adventure out on the savanna and FM closer to her bath products so she could be closer to a relaxing bath.
Well I started noticing each day upon coming back to the room at night from the pool that there seemed to be a warmth in the air and that JM and FM seemed to be getting closer each day...
We had been taking JM to parks each day adventurer that he is and the day we were going to Epcot we decided we would take French Minnie with us too to have a look at her old stomping grounds...
Well imagine our surprise when the two of them asked if they might have a little personal time...(with us chaperoning of course)
We later found out through these photos what they were up to...
Sharing a baclava in Morocco

sigh...It looks like they had quite the romantic afternoon...
Upon our homecoming-they have taken to living back in Alice and Rabbit's rooms although I know they are still seeing each other...
French Minnie recently confided to me that Jedi Mickey has proposed marriage-BUT she isn't sure what to do. For as much as she loves him...she has heard that not only are Jedis not supposed to marry there is one who did...and it apparently ended badly...
So what it a girl to do? Play it safe and don't tempt fate or take a risk and see if she can make a successful go of it?
Personally I'd like to see a wedding and a Disneymoon...although I can understand her reservations...
Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens...
NEXT UP: OUR DINNER AT CHEFS DE FRANCE, TORRENTIAL RAIN AND A TRIP TO JAPAN...
Oh, just wait for the rest of the mini series. There was one thing I noticed that I just couldn't believe production decided to take time with. I'm curious to see if you notice it too.
I think it's sad that they don't teach more about John Adams in History in school. Especially in my area, growing up in Maine anything that had a New England connection was always a little more interesting. It saddens me that he was never really part of the curriculum.
It is pretty close to Boston, I don't know if it's quite as close as they portray in the mini series or not though.
They also have a book of John & Abigail's letters that I want to pick up too.![]()
I am so behind in commenting!! And just after a few days!!
I think motivating yourself to excerise with a goal is great! I took on running more seriously when a friend talked me into doing a 5k race. And I really enjoyed it.Have you looked at the couch to 5k program? I think it sounds really good and is a great starting point. I am still not a very good runner and will need a lot of training in order to get through the half marathon, but I am at a point where I actually miss my running if I don't get around to do it!
Don't get worried about DLP! I don't think you need to stay there. First of all, the hotels really aren't that great. The Disneyland Hotel is unbelievably expensive, so that's no choice and the others are cute, but not fantastic. They lack the extensive theming the WDW resorts have. If you go on a weekday in March (unless it's the week before Easter), lines will be very manageable. And I would suggest to skip the Walt Disney Studios. Don't worry! And feel free to PM me with any questions you might have, I will happily give more advice on anything DLP related!
I think your morning at Epcot sounds great - with the exception of the tears episode, but Rabbit was really sweet about that!I did the Kim Possible thing in January and thought it was great, so I agree, it is fun for adults, too! We did Germany and thought that it was hilarious!!

Get. Out. You can visit John Adams' farm??? Really and truly???
John Adams has always been my favorite Founding Father -- Washington had the military might and Jefferson had the flowery words, but Adams was truly the force behind our push for independence. Genius of a man even if he was too outspoken for many of his peers.![]()
Double Bravo!!![]()
I want to hug him!
What a funny story!
I can't wait to do the KP Missions... I'm more excited than the kids!!
I'm glad the day was saved... literally and figuratively!
Kathy
I'm glad that you got to enjoy the World Showcase! That Tangierine Cafe rarely disappoints. It really is a beautiful pavilion. Judging from the accuracy of the China Pavilion to actual buildings in China, I'm sure the recreated Morocco pretty well..
Tell your son that Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong are the must see cities in China! The Great Wall alone is worth the trip!
French Minnie recently confided to me that Jedi Mickey has proposed marriage-BUT she isn't sure what to do. For as much as she loves him...she has heard that not only are Jedis not supposed to marry there is one who did...and it apparently ended badly...
If you all come up here for a Colonial Tour, I will totally do some sort of Colonial Character Breakfast. Marc & I can be John & Abigail Adams.Just think of the American History road trip you could do heading up the coast...tempting isn't it...I'd go...LL could do a whole highlights of Colonial Massachusetts thing...there aren't any character breakfast but think of all the gift shops...
...plus we could have t-shirts made on zazzle...
