Epcot 2...TEARS, TEST TRACK AND WONDERS IN WORLDSHOWCASE....
Well the tears had arrived and it seemed that they were in no hurry to leave. Despite my effort to get rid of them with some rightgeous indignation...(an unfortunate combinations of a lack of coffee, hormones, and weariness at the the bickering had pushed my weepy weepy button as opposed to the angry button...) As we made our way into Test Track with our fastpasses...I attempted to hide them with my sunglasses...Hatter to his credit quicky noticed them and asked what was the matter...
What was the matter..What's the matter...? Well- I'm a little bit tired of this ridiculous bickering for one thing....I know you two love each other...why do you do this...it's gone too far...It is terribly upsetting....we are at Disney for God's sake-pull it together...(do you need anymore reasons?)
Alice now looked quilty and remorseful..".I'm so sorry mommy-we didn't mean it..."
Hatter..."I'm sorry I should have stopped it...I kept it going...'
Alice..."Mom please be happy again..."
Rabbit..."Why is mommy crying?"...
Hatter explains that "mommy is upset because he and Alice were fighting...and Rabbit looks at me and then sternly back at them and says "that was very bad of you to make mommy cry-you shouldn't fight...-Mommy-I told them to be good-you can be happy again-"
Bravo-the 7 year old gets it...he's my buddy-I'm riding TT with him...
How could I keep crying after that...although I did mention to A & H that I didn't want so much as one word that wasn't pleasant and peaceful for the rest of the day...they had started it-but I was going to use it to my advantage...
(Due to the emotional chaos-I got only one photo in TT...
We also tried to swipe the TT photo at the end to our photopass but it didn't seem to take...
After riding TT-which we all adore-I was in a much better mood...and I didn't intend to squander it or the fact that I now had Alice and Hatter feeling guilty and I intended to make the most of it....hehehehehe.....
Instead of going to fastpass Soarin which I do love very much but it makes me a little melancholy for California...I decided that we were headed for World Showcase-it was just a little bit after 11:15 and we had an early ressie for Chefs de France at 5 so I thought we should have an early lunch...and I knew just where I wanted to go-Morocco....
but first we stopped and picked up a Kim Possible Mission time...1:15 in Norway...
so off we trotted-without too much stopping yet...to lunch in Morocco and the Tangerine Cafe...
We made it around ...Canada...UK...France...Morocco....
I love Morocco-I think it does such a good job of capturing the essence of what it must be like...not having been there...I have to guess...but I think it is a lovely, romantic pavilion...(that whole stretch between the UK through Japan...but specifically France and Morocco-I think are romantic and well done...) I'd love to go to Fez and Marrakesh-i think it could be a very romantic, exotic trip-no kiddos...
Lunch...Tangerine Cafe...yum...Rabbit got the traditional Moroccan burger...while Alice and I split a lamb/chicken platter while Hatter had his own...plus yummy backlava...
the sky was starting to look angry in that way that the August sky in Florida can look...
We had decided that on our way to Norway...we wouldn't do every country in order but pop in maybe every other or so...and then do the others after our mission/Dinner
America-we found the presidents fandex for Rabbit-he was quite the happy boy...and he partipated in a little spontaneous show with songs and the Pledge of Allegiance for our youngest patriots...
He's fourth in from the left-he takes this very seriously...
Italy-Alice posed in front of the country (she wants to go there as a graduation gift from High School in 4 years...maybe...)
Germany-We looked at the trains and found a special Princess...Rabbit was quite taken with...
Fortunately, we had met the lovely Snow White in the nick of time...
The skies just opened up and began to pour down on us...
one, two, three let's move...past the African outpost...and into China...
I suggested-the Temple in China and the movie...(we hadn't seen it since the redo... and it was pouring...) While we were waiting there drenched and looking like wet cats-one of the young Chinese cast members came over and asked us (Alice) if we (she) would like to learn some Chinese....so as he began to teach us (her) how to say hello, please, thank you...it became clear to Hatter and I who were exchanging glances that he was clearly interested in teaching her Chinese...Rabbit on the other hand...was absolutely jazzed and could think of nothing better than learning a little Chinese...in fact he'd already picked some up on tv and proceeded to demonstrate to the CM who seemed to be trying pretty hard to ignore him and focus on Alice...(Rabbit had a pretty good accent I must say- but this seemed to impress the CM very little as he worked on getting Alice to learn the words...If if wouldn't have been impolite I would have been laughing at this point as Rabbit was practically standing on his head saying please in Chinese while this guy was trying to ignore him...) At the end of 5 minutes...the CM presented Emily with a card Congratulating our family (her) for being the special "Family" (she) that learned Chinese...
Alice holding our (her) certificate....
Rabbit should have gotten one for sheer effort...
The Movie was very good...and it just so happens that China is the country that Rabbit would like to go when he graduates High School in....hmmm...11 years...?
Who wouldn't want to go to a country that has Pandas?
It was still raining but less so...and we wanted to do our mission...so we walked between the rain drops to Norway and our KP mission instructions...Rabbit really wanted to ride the Maelstrom in Norway so Alice and I headed back to China...all I can say is maybe I'm a big geek....but I LOVED IT...so cool...so much fun...I wound up seeing all this stuff in China that I don't normally see...so much fun...
Since Hatter was a tad jealous...When we finished....we trotted off to Mexico where he did a mission with Alice while I took Rabbit on the Grand Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Cabelleros-I may have mentioned this before but we are huge Donald fans...Rabbit's favorite of the Fab 5 is Goofy but followed closely by Donald and I just adore Donald...
Coming up: A short but intense romantic interlude between Jedi Mickey and French Minnie, followed by: More World Showcase including a Dinner at Chefs de France & Remy...
