Back from WDW... Get ready for my Trip Report...

Well they way I am looking at it is 2-1/2 more days... Tuesday, Wendesday, and then Thursday (afternoon leaving for the hotel) which in my mind... I am DISNEY BOUND

Thats a good way to look at it. I'm only working 1/2 day on Friday so I can get the last minute things done, like go to the bank, and get my nails done...etc.

Well my wife goes tomorrow and gets a pedicure, manicure, hair-cut, etc... I keep telling her that she looks fine, but oh well. She is getting mickey heads on her toe nails so that might be cute.

Well, I just sent out my package to the AS Music Resort. Just a box full of snacks, popcorn, cereal...it's due to arrive 2 days before we do, that way, when we check in, it will be there waiting for us. One more thing checked off the list of things to do this week. Now, it's just finding time to get a hair cut, and having nails done, going to the bank.... My list for my house/dog sitter is ready and printed. Disney, here we come!!!

Hey there. I think I've been lurking and never introduced myself. We will be there the same time as you will. We are getting very excited as the anticipation builds.

Not that you have time right now, but I have a PTR if you want to see what we've been doing to plan. I'd recommend working backwards (it's lots of pages). I will post what I did today later tonight.

I want to wish you a safe and happy trip. I hope that time drags by while you are on vacation so you can enjoy every minute of it and make memories to last a lifetime.

Ok packed the small bag last night which is full of the products (first aid kit, sun block etc..) See THIS POST for contents. Well needles to say that I packed it and for good measure repacked it. I put almost everything in zip-lock bags . I didn't want to take any chances. Well after all said and done, it weighted 35 LBS. which is under the 50 LBS. limit

After we got that one packed we started on my DW and my baggage. Well lets just say that being in the military I had my packed with LOTS of clothes and still have plenty of room. My DW on the other hand.... Not so much. Lets just say that she is more than likely going to use some of mine. I have this habbit of ironing everything before I pack it, and it took me quite a bit longer to pack than my wife, but I know mine will be not as wrinkled. Ironing in my few takes a lot of air out and makes the garments lay flat better. Oh well, enough of that. Well got my bag about 90% done. Tonight we tackle the kids suitcases and our carry-ons. Then on Wednesday night I TRIPLE check everything off the packing list and load the van.

Thursday my wife is going to pack an overnight bag that we are going to use explicitly for the hotel night. This bag will stay in the van when we leave. Then after I get home from work... WERE OFF

Ok last night I was in one of those well... great moods.

My wife was in the process of getting ready to go get her pedicure and stuff and I told her to wait while we discussed it. Well ends up I gave both my DW & DD a pedicure and painted their toes nails. I even put Mickey ears on the big toes for them too. Me doing that saved us ~$50.00. My DD was like, who are you and where is my dad..

As far as I am concerned.. you have to do things like this every now and then to keep them on their toes.

Oh and just for future reference...

You are awesome to do such a nice thing.....I could not imagine my boyfriend even attempting such a task. I'm playing it safe and having it done. How did you do the Mickey face on her toes? I'm not sure the people I deal with will know what I'm talking about, since most of them don't speak english very well.


And by the way, can this day go any slower??????

Well basically with the toes, I just did a base coat (her choice), then used black fingernail polish (complements of my DD). The application of black fingernail polish was like loading up the brush and letting it kinda settle on the nail and using slow movements to even out each circle. Do three circles and look what you have

I have one suitcase packed and set...it weighs 33 pounds, just have to finish the other two....none of which concerns any of my stuff...waiting on DD to get her capris washed...for some reason she just can't live this week without wearing them. Go Figure. All I have left is to make sure the carry ons are set. I still have two nights for that.

Yeah I know what you mean my DD is doing the same thing.

She asked (NO KIDDING) if we would go out a purchase her another set of shorts that she loves so she could pack those and wear the ones she has.
