I realy like the new DCA. Cars Land was fun and the rest of the rides in both parks were less crowded. Heat was insane....
Drove from Seattle.
Aug 13 - Planned to be at DCA 7:00 (arrived at 7:10 with Dis Fam of five in toe.)
I FP RSR and the family took rope drop and jumped in line for RSR. I got in the SR line and arrived at same time to gate. CM threw some pixie dust and placed us in same car... The stay right on rope drop seems to no longer be an advantage according to my fam.
We then rode tires and Mater's tow and used our 10:00 AM fast passes together. I was in the FP line at the door of CC.
We could have used SR line and rode RSR several times first thing in the morning but fam did not want to. RSR is amazing...
We then hit most all of the other rides in DCA including Monsters Inc, Turtle Crush along with headliners... Forgot to get fast pass for WOC...
Ate Lunch at TPG with no wait. x-5 ribs were great.
Also watched Alladin to beat heat. Wrapped up at 3:30 and went to DLR to ride pirates and a few others...
Tuesday had early entry to DLR and arrived at 6:50. (was shooting for 6:45). We had a great day and by 10AM had ridden almost everything and some things multiple times. Wanted to eat at Minnies to beat hit. But Fam decided to go on Minnies on Wed instead.
I did hit rope drop for Splash and got FP and then went to DCA to attempt fast pass for RSR but line was huge. FP cars and WOC (9am received first show blue..) WOC never sold out as far as I could tell...
Wednesday arrive DCA 7:15 (crowds lower). FP for 9:45. This time I rode RSR before the fam in standby line. I took their picture as they zoomed by. We took pics with Mater and Lightning McQuuen. Did Mater Tow and then used 9:45 FP. Arrived at Minnies for 10:20 reservation. Great meal and lots of fun. Things were getting pretty crowded in DLR with wait times
At 9:00 AM I again FP WOC at 9AM and received first show blue).
really fun trip and arriving early and using FP runner as usual... made the trip a blast. Single rider line for RSR is very nice in the mornings...
Of course Dole Whips and ghirardelli Hot fudge sundaes spread through out...
