Will post day by day whenever I get a chance.

December 6th:

Lunch: Yakitori House.

DH and I both had the Sukiyaki beef and white rice. Meat was hardly fatty and had a nice flavor. White rice tasted like, well, white rice. Filling meal and it was good! One of our fave CS's in Epcot. Will return.

Dinner: Tutto Italia

We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Our waitress was very pleasant and let us know upon being seated that she had to help another table, but would be with us promptly. Oh yes, her name was Renata. When she returned, we ordered our drinks and meals at the same time. DH and I split the Bufalo Mozzarella for an appetizer. Best we've ever had! The mozzarella was incredible. It did come out VERY QUICKLY! I'm talking we ordered it and 2 minutes later we had it. At that point I wasn't feeling too hot so DH finished the appetizer. WHILE HE WAS STILL EATING, I saw our entrees come out. It was brought by the different server. She must've seen that we were still eating the appetizer, said something to our server and then brought it back to the kitchen. I was craving pasta, so I opted for the spaghetti and meatballs. I thought it to be very good. The meatballs were tender and had a nice flavor, and the pasta was al dente. (I hate when pasta is mushy). Was it worth $24? No because I make it home for 4 people for about $7, but it was very good and we are in Disney after all. I cannot remember the name of what DH had, but it was pasta, grilled chicken, and a light tomato cream sauce. He didn't think it was all that big considering it was $24 as well, but he was unable to finish it. He said it was very good and filling. I brought most of mine back to the resort (SSR) since I wasn't feeling well and it did reheat nicely. We would definitely return for the food. AP discount was only good for lunch. Our waitress was lovely. The only complaint was it was VERY RUSHED! We had a 5:30pm ADR and no lie, we were out before 6pm. It was okay this time because I wasn't feeling well, but next time if this happens, we will definitely tell them to slow down!

Thanks for the review! I will look forward to more...Sorry you weren't feeling well. It certainly seems as if most folks are returning with reports of being sick.:scared:

A true thirty minute meal, not my idea of a dining experience. I'll have to note that if we decide to have dinner there. Looking forward to the rest!:goodvibes

Lunch: Yak and Yeti

Yum! We love it here! DH and I usually order family style. We'll order a few things and then just split it all. We had the wonton soup, dumplings (the lime soy sauce is awesome!), the side of egg rolls (comes with 2 which works out perfectly), the honey chicken, and chicken lo mein. Everything came out nice and hot. The honey chicken was crispy and the sauce had a nice flavor to it. The soup was nice and hot and came with the crispy wonton noodles, which tasted great in the soup. The broth had a really good flavor to it. Dumplings were great as always, especially with the sauce. Egg rolls were crispy and not greasy, which is sometimes hard to find. The lo mein had plenty of chicken and was delicious as well. We love Yak and Yeti and look forward to returning in May!

Dinner: Planet Hollywood

We just did drinks and apps here since we were still stuffed from lunch! I had a margarita on the rocks, no salt. DH had whatever beer he usually has. :crazy2: We have been to the PH in NYC a few times so we know what to expect. We ordered our favorite, the Tostado Nachos and the Caprese. Both were delicious. We got a nice amount of food with both apps. The meal was perfect and exactly what we were looking for at the moment. All of the bartenders were super friendly and gave prompt attention. We'd definitely return.

Dessert: Ghirardelli

2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate hot fudge. Need I say more?

Lunch: Sci-Fi Dine In

This one is pretty basic. We arrived and were seated within 5 minutes of our ADR time. We were escorted to a car and had the front row. For an appetizer, DH ordered onion rings. I don't eat onions, but I eat the breading. :rotfl: It was very tasty and DH loves Sci-Fi's onion rings anyway. We both had burgers. The burger was one of the best we've had. The burgers were cooked exactly to our specs. and they were nice and thick and juicy. I got the fries and DH got the cucumber salad. He said the salad was okay but it was too onion-y. I had more than enough fries so he just had some of mine. We both got cherry cokes. Our server was so sweet and had perfect timing with everything. She was so friendly and made sure to take pictures for anyone who wanted them. Great food, great atmosphere, will go back.

Maybe the server at Tutto Italia thought you were in a hurry since you ordered all your food at once with your drinks? Just a thought. I know I would hate to be rushed like that. I would definitely be asking them to slow down. Tutto Italia sounds like a nice restaurant. We hope to try it sometime.

I can't say I agree with your review of Sci-Fi. We liked every meal we had at WDW (and we had a lot going during the free dining promotion) except for this one. I actually thought it was fairly inedible.

I'm really surprised by this. We're very finicky when it comes to burgers and thought theirs were very good.:goodvibes

Well, I'm glad you liked it. Maybe they've improved since 2007? I thought it tasted like one of those microwavable ones you can get for kids' lunches in the frozen food aisle. However, the atmosphere for Sci-Fi was super cool. I have to admit that.

I wish I could say that was the reason, but I saw EVERYONE's meals come out quickly. It was pretty crazy. I saw one table that didn't order appetizers, but came after us, were done before us. Freakishly quick.

Well, to each his own. I'm not really a burger kind of person and I'm a really picky eater, but I really like Sci-Fi's burgers. DH does too. So I guess it's just the person and/or the chef. My review was just based on our experience.

breakfast: Kona Cafe

DH and I split the Tonga Toast (YUM!!), an extra side of bacon, and a side of potatoes. We also got the pressed pot of 100% Kona coffee. Our server was wonderful! Made suggestions, made sure we knew what to expect with the pressed pot, said if we didn't see anything to ask anyway, etc. The potatoes there are awesome as well! Kona is one of our faves for breakfast and I can't imagine not going there!

lunch: Tony's

DH had the meatball sub and it comes with a small side salad. He loves it. The meatballs are a nice size, had good flavor and were soft but not mushy. He likes the salad it comes with as well. I had the baked ziti. It was okay. First time I got it it came out cold, so I asked for a hot one (I like my food piping hot, but this wasn't even warm). Another one came out almost immediately and it was nice and hot. The baked ziti was ok. I think the time I got the chicken parm or panini there it was MUCH better than this. I did get sick later, but I can't be sure that that's what caused it. This was the only time we had a mediocre experience at Tony's. We'll probably keep going there unless we have a truly horrific experience.

dinner: Peco's Bill

DH and I both ordered the taco salad. I didn't eat (sick - felt bad I wasted the food though) and DH said Pirata y el Perico's was better. He didn't say it was bad, but it didn't come with much meat. With the toppings he said it was still okay though.

Nice to hear your review of Kona for breakfast. We only had lunch there. I think we would have preferred breakfast. They seem to have some unique and yummy-sounding menu items.

I think that we should try that Yak and Yeti....your meal sounds wonderful....thanks for taking the time to tell us about it

We had an ADR for Yak & Yeti that we had to cancel last trip. Will definitely try and get there next time!
