Had a great stay, it was crowded, it rained, it was crowded, there were lines for everything, it was crowded, I stayed at POP, it was crowded and I ate at a few new Places. ;) Did I tell you it was crowded?

Well, not any questions really. I'm just glad that no storms knocked you out of your vacation. :thumbsup2

Let's hope it will be that way for us in about 30 days, of course, I don't want it to be crowded, but if it is-it is-we'll be in the world!! :teeth:

AHHHHH!!! I was so hoping it wasnt going to be crowded! The kids and I are use to crowds and lines at WDW but my DH and his brother are not patient ppl.. Hmm.. Someone send me some pixie dust I dont want to have two grumpy men on my hands..

Hey Pooh, just one question - was it crowded????

;) Glad it was still a great time.

Another question here Pooh, sorry but it wasn't clear.. was it crowded? very much? :teeth: :rotfl:

Hi Pooh,

It's so funny how two people can have exactly the opposite view. I was there from 7/28 - 8/13 (we left at 7am on 8/13 - it may have rained that day?).

It was HOT! Did I mention it was HOT, lol!

We thought it was not crowded at all. I did not do early or late entries and used FP's. But, compared to crowds I've seen before it was managable and hardly crowded. By using FP's we never waited in any line except Pirates of the Caribbean.

We also thought the weather (rain) was great. It barely rained the entire two weeks we were there. One night at the beginning of our stay (July 31) it rained in the early evening and didn't stop till we left EPCOT and went back to our room. We had a couple of other days it might have rained for a few minutes but then cleared. Most days we saw no hint of rain. Other days it looked like it could rain in the afternoon but never did. We thought it was a practically perfect two weeks as far as rain goes. We also did the beach 2 days and I swear it must have rained in Orlando the one afternoon we were at the beach. We got nothing. I think it depends on what park, where in Orlando you are, etc.

Sorry to hear it was crowded for you! What dates were you there?

Hoping the crowds die out a bit by next Wed. :)

My gosh Melissa! You go for 16 nights?? The longest I have gone is 7 nights and that was enough for both my wife and wallet. :confused3 :rotfl:

Ok - so from what I understand from the above posts - it was HOT and CROWDED! Well, we leave in 8 days (yeah) and I am expecting HOT, but hoping it will be a little less crowded by then!

I have been so very many times and one thing I have learned, yes, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, is this - it is an individual thing whether the crowds are heavy or not.

What park were you in? Do you like the top draws or tend to do the smaller attractions? What time of day? I do much research on the DIS and attempt to do the least popular things on the least popular days and avoid most of the crowds. :cool1:

It does not hurt that we go for long periods of time and so, if we do see a long line, we just walk on by and catch it at another time.

What we lack in cash we make up for in time. The retirees pledge ya know. :lmao:

Can't do a darned thing about the heat though. :sad2:

Slightly Goofy

In your opinion, were the parks crowded or empty?

Thanks!

I've been in WDW for the past 14 days, just got back today. I thought the parks were extremely NOT crowded. In fact, the only thing we had a bit of a wait for was Pirates. The rest were just walk ons, including Soarin! It only rained about two days on our trip which was great.

ETA: Everest was also only a 10 minute wait at the most, even when the cast members told us we'd be waiting 30-40 minutes!

That's so funny - we were there last week (8/5 - 8/12) and I was surprised how uncrowded it was (and we normally go during November, so I was ready for some big crowds).

Oh well, I guess following TGM's best parks on which days worked for us!

Oh yeah, it was hot!
